¢hange

¢hange is a Christian hip hop and spoken word artist from Cincinnati, Ohio. He grew up in church for the most part but turned away after he reached the age of 17. He started doing drugs and started drinking. He got involved with the wrong people and began stealing from people he once considered friends. At the age of 19 one of his friends got sentenced to 10 years in prison. He realized that he needed a change of scenery and attitude so ¢hange decided to join the military. A year into the military he started to deal with the same things of his past but worse. He found himself drinking every night and getting back into the drugs he once quit. He became suicidal by looking for love and comfort in the wrong things and places. He reached the lowest point in his life. He didn't care if he lived or died. One day a friend in his division asked him if he would like to go to his church and out of respect to his friend he went. He showed up drunk and left the same. ¢hange then went home and decide to say a prayer. He said, "God if your real, give me a woman to share my life with, that would make me happy." ¢hange felt something drawing him back to this church. It turns out their was an older woman there who has the gift of prophesy. She stood up during the worship service and asked ¢hange for his name. She said, "you are on two different sides of the fence, and maybe its something you can't get over from your past but God wants me to tell you this, He has the woman for you but you have to follow him." ¢hange instantly believed in God after that and has since changed his life. He accepted Christ in his life and has been saved for over 3 years. God later fulfilled his promise to ¢hange as he has now been married for 2 years. His heart now is to spread the message of hope in Jesus Christ through hip hop everywhere he can. He has a big heart and it shows in his music.
