Beatles -- Groovitude Groovitude, playing with singer/rapper Zo and violinist Arlene, captured The Beatles’ psychedelic work, starting with “Tomorrow Never Knows,” the last track on the “Revolver” album. “Good Morning Good Morning” also rocked nicely, and the band smartly mashed up R. Kelly’s “It’s Your Birthday” with a gloriously ragged version of “Birthday” that had the crowd rocking – and even some more people dancing.

Where do I start? These young men have a talent that is rarely seen in musicians of their age and experience. Their cutting edge high energy sound can be attributed to influences that range from classic rock to southern rock to blues to alternative. From AC-DC to ZZ Top and everything in between, this band of musicians can nail it down and rock with the best of them.
Their CD “Wildfire” is a collection of tunes that cover many different genres with a spit, polish and versatility not seen in these parts in a long time. “Heat Seeking Missile” is a southern-style rocker that is right up there with Molly Hatchet’s ‘Flirtin With Disaster’. The guitar work is kick-ass! “Black Heart Woman” and “Miss Lightning” are good up-tempo rockers that mimic AC-DC in its style and composition.
“Rock And Roll Daredevil” could give Slash a run for his money. This tune sends you back to the Big Hair Metal days of the 80’s. “Nitro Burnin’ Tire Smokin’ Son of a Gun” is a totally awesome number that I could see rockers ZZ Top performing in concert.
“Groovitude Blues” is a dynamite jam that take one back to simpler times. The guitar work and rhythms entice the listener to rock out along with it. The drum solo is crisp and clean and this draws one to an aura of “PARTY”. “Rock and Roll Element” takes you to the next dimension od today’s current sound with its highly energized and elevated beat.
The title track “Wildfire” is definitely single material. One of the best cuts on the CD. Kris Ewaniuk outdoes himself on this! The effects create a dynamic sound as does the ending. “Dragway 109” has an early hard rock feel to it. Tight harmonies and crisp vocals along with some sharp instrumentation make this another candidate for a single release.
I can see these young musicians going places in the future with their energy, talent and motiviation. - PA Music Scene
