“Seattle duo Suzie & Ben Bradford will please any listener who’s looking for bright, upbeat, refreshingly straightforward material performed with a skill and subtlety that serves each song. The bright, pop-y, melodic “Sunkissed” is a vivid scrapbook of everything you love about summer. A cooler vibe prevails on “Redheads & Scorpios” – artists who’ve played to a hard-drinking, roadhouse crowd will relate to this one, though perhaps Suzie, who’s gifted with flawless pitch and intonation, could pepper some phrases (“As long as we can drink, we don’t care.”) with a bit more attitude. “Cookie Cutter” unabashedly celebrates the simple life “where dogs and babies roam.” Suzie’s voice is a perfect fit for this song.” -
“Suppose Rickie Lee Jones met Norah Jones in Seattle for coffee and decided what they both needed to do was turn their attention to creating boomer friendly folk/pop that doesn't inspire listeners to look into anti-depressants. These Seattle vets must have been sitting at a near by table listening in, taking the ball and running with it. It really can't be that much against the law just to feel good, can it? We don't want this duo to get arrested. We just want them to keep playing their trade and spreading good vibes like this where ever they go. A great antidote for the blues that aren't the fun kind.” - CHRIS SPECTOR, Editor and Publisher

With the new indie pop formation "Goodnight Suzie" from Seattle, Washington, we have another true couple who want to venture into a musical career. Multi-instrumentalist Ben Bradford and his keyboards playing and singing eega Suzie were recently active as members of the cover band "The Side Project" and are the core members of this group.
Furthermore, "Goodnight Suzie" is composed of bass player Ryan Waggoner, violinist Paula Filseth, organist Marty Hoyle, saxophonist Aaron Dressler and Honorulu drummer Jason Edwards. Ben and Suzie Bradford wrote lyrics and music together for the ten songs that ended up on their debut album "Boombox".
They are all fun and sing-along pop tunes that will settle into the memory after a first listen. A textbook example of such a song is the funny up-tempo "Wannabe Hipster", but also album title track "Boombox" and the "Spinning Around" that can be heard on the video are easy-to-hear songs.
Some more ballad-like songs are "Waterbaby", the acoustic "Sing" and "I Get The Feeling" on which Ben Bradford himself is also responsible for part of the vocal work. The album-closing song "Cookie Cutter" is also an emotionally sung piano ballad in which Suzie can showcase her flawless singing voice prominently.
The alternation between cheerful uptempolies and love songs referring to sensitive emotions seems to have been a very good choice for "Goodnight Suzie", a band where we would like to hear more new work in the future. -

Goodnight Suzie is an exciting new indie/pop band, featuring a husband and wife duo as lead vocalists. This music is contagious! The group was born out of the popular Seattle cover band “The Side Project”, and they are starting a new adventure with all new members! Their debut album “Boombox” has up-tempo hand clapping singalong pop tunes, and sweet emotional ballads. The new band features a duo to 8-piece, depending on venue, with electric guitar, bass, percussion, violin, ukulele, and even a rocking organ organist/piano player. Suzie and Ben say that artists such as Portugal. The Man, Colbie Caillat, Brandi Carlile, Benjamin Clementine, and Amos Lee were a few of their influences as they developed this new sound and style.
The two have had their music featured on shows such as "Dancing with The Stars” and have had their music broadcast in Starbucks locations across the U.S. Together, they've performed thousands of concerts throughout the Pacific NW and beyond, and they are excited to bring you this new sound. They have shared the stage with artists such as Vicci Martinez, Chasing Jane, Dulcinea Renee, Dax Johnson, the Beatnix, Gypsy Soul, and Grammy award winner Eric Tingstad.
Their debut album, Boombox, released on March 30, 2019.
