Gigi Scott and Trouble Town consists of 4 Alabama Veteran musicians. The band is a fronted by a female guitarist/singer/songwriter. The band members have played with famous people, including Birmingham's Taylor Hicks. GSTT has played huge festivals and one member played in the Taylor Hicks band. Gigi has played many festivals including the WC Handy Festival, Planet Hollywood (Vegas) and they will be at the SXSW in 2016, in bars such as Dizzy Rooster. The band has released two albums: Parable of the Cave in 2014, recorded at WorkPlay in Birmingham and the recent Wampus Cat (12/12/2015) that was recorded at world class studio (owned by Rick Hall) in Muscle Shoals. The band plays guitar driven rock songs and some Swampy Rock that featuers saxophone and harmonicas. Some tunes feature fast songs, some are more laid back trucking style. The band features harmonies, awesome guitar leads, drum solos, harmonica and guest musicians such as Spooner Oldham of the Muscle Shoals Sound. GSTT is on iTunes and Spotify as well as Sonicbids and Reverbnation. Please give them a listen. They are getting national radio play on indie radio in many places. Did I mention they gigged a few times with The Alabama Shakes? It's because the styles are similar. In short, what you have a female fronted outlaw roots-rock band that was highly influenced by Southern Rock.

Gigi Scott and Trouble Town is recently off the road from the SXSW in Austin TX and is now #1 both in the Region (Deep South) and #1 in Birmingham. GSTT recorded their album Wampus Cat in Muscle Shoals at Fame with Producer Don Syrgley who also just help produce Gregg Allman's new album at that same studio. Gigi is the song writer and now has two albums that are on iTunes, Spotify and Amazon. The 2014 album is called Parable of the Cave and has had selective radio play in the U.S. The 2015 album, Wampus Cat, recorded at Fame was only recently released and we are about to shop a single. GSTT is part of GSEA LLC, which is all owned by Gigi Scott. The next big gig for the Irondale Festival on April 30 and Work/Play on June 10, both in Birmingham, AL. We are looking to expand and play gigs outside of Alabama as soon as possible. All the members of Trouble Town are veteran professional musicians. We are all used to playing big shows and have warmed up for huge acts separately and together. Gigi writes the songs for the band, but the expert musicians arrange and make the difference.
