Gifted 6

Raised in Raleigh, NC, Gifted 6, aka Jeremiah Williams, started his musical journey when he was 7, when he penned his first song along with the help of his Dad. It was at this moment that Jeremiah knew he had a profound passion for music.

He first became interested in music production in 1998 when he began playing the drums and piano. In 2001 he was granted access to his first set of Pioneer CDJ’s. A close family friend worked with Jeremiah with hopes to teach him the skills he would require to become a successful DJ. Tragically his instructor would pass away in a fatal car crash shortly after he began teaching Jeremiah. For the moment he would put his dreams of becoming a DJ on hold. With no formal instruction at his disposal to learn music production Jeremiah continued to play instruments and write songs as a hobby while focusing an abundance of his energy into his academics and sports. It was in 2007 that Jeremiah decided to forgo the remainder of his collegiate football eligibility and put all of his efforts into a career in music production. While conducting strenuous trial and error experiments Jeremiah taught himself music production and honed his skills over the years by constantly working on his craft.

After producing and writing records for various underground artists Gifted 6 received and offer from New World Music Group to join the label as a producer. After relocating to Miami, FL he continued to produce and write records that the label continuously shopped to major label artists. Although many of the records did not have the success envisioned Gifted 6 continues to be a hungry and passionate artist who is locked in the studio perfecting his craft. While living in Miami Gifted 6’s dream to become a DJ was revived. It was then he knew he wanted to pursue a DJ career alongside music production.

After a short stint with New World Music Group Gifted 6 relocated back to his hometown of Raleigh, NC from Miami, FL and formed Angry Neighbors with his longtime friend and former teammate Feyzan Shareef. The two continued to produce and write records together focusing their efforts on licensing their music and shopping the records to major artists. Gifted 6 began teaching himself how to DJ in 2012 and silently honed his craft throughout his journey with Angry Neighbors. After a year of playing house parties and small events he decided to take the next step in his DJ career. He was offered a closing slot for the annual Bandanza at SXSW in Austin, TX and shortly afterward he was booked for multiple events at Winter Music Conference in Miami, FL.

Gifted 6 has had the privilege of sharing the stage with such names as Styles & Complete, Project 46, Digital Lab, Treyy G, Mighty Mouze, GangSigns, Devious, DJ Yen, Densine, OKO, Mr. Monopoly and Luneffekt.

Gifted 6’s combination of uplifting unwavering hypnotic melodies, ferocious heavy hitting bass drops, and his unsingularly genre mixtures have molded his reputation as a DJ and producer. Suffice to say, the music scene should expect big things from Gifted 6 now and into the future.
