Getiey (pronunciation: /'geh-tee:/) is a singer, songwriter, and producer with experimental electronic and retro-acoustic pop sound, and his trademark crunch pop. Getiey started his songwriting career in 2010, determined to work 14 hours per day, and 70 hours per week. Getiey says by 2020 he probably has completed more than 22,400 hours of songwriting over the decade.
The artist's music is influenced and evolved by various incidents occurred during his lifetime as a songwriter, mostly due to the hardship he went through to become the person he wanted to be. In his songs, he emotionally showcases grudge, love, tenderness, injustice, and victory to the listener. Getiey is well known as a storyteller, as most of his lyrics are primarily influenced by events, he either experienced or witnessed in his life, but creatively altering them to add more depth to focus-subjects, and almost turning them into never-actually-happened stories.
Getiey's music is mainly centered on electronic and acoustic pop, with many ballads to heavy EDM sound, enabling the freedom to express his emotion to the fullest. Music is his whip, and he will lash the rules, so will scourge the conventions.
