Genocide Soldiers are a groove oriented metal band hailing from northern New Jersey. It is the dream child of Mezzy Shredder and Thrash vocalist Billy C, singer of Condemned. A signed and successful metal band during the 1990s. Billy also played alongside Mezzy in Warhorse from 2008-2010.
Together again, the two are working hard to make a new name for themselves as veterans of the metal scene. This time, we have assembled a four-piece of seasoned musicians that will bring over the top energy night in and night out, all while remaining true to the nature of metal.
Genocide Soldiers recently announced that they have recruited Jon Seymour to handle percussion duties. Jon played alongside Mezzy in Headmotor prior to joining Genocide Soldiers. On the bass is Carlo Miscardini, an energetic player with enough juice for the show, and then some. If you love the sound of killer live bass, Carlo consistently delivers a performance you'll never forget.
Genocide Soldiers bring to the table a signature style of metal and thrash. They have described their sound as "Pantera making a sweet sugary love child with Lamb of God". Heavy guitar tones, forceful bass lines, and solo work will melt the face of any metal head. Billy Cunningham (Vocals)- Former vocalist of legendary NJ hardcore thrash band Condemned, as well as metal bands Lockjaw, and Warhorse. He has played in many great venues, and has toured around the nation opening for well known bands from the 1990s and 2000s.
Mezzy Shredder (Guitars) - Mezzy's played over 200 shows in his life and has led the charge in the popular New Jersey metal band Warhorse from 2008-2010. Some of Warhorse memorable shows included Jaggfest 2010, Starland Ballroom, and he has shared the stage with God Forbid, Kitty, and Periphery. In 2010 he was invited to audition for the role of bass guitar in Black Label Society, but Mezzy decided to stay true to his guitar roots, and continue his pursuit music in Genocide Soldier.
Carlo Moscardini (Bass) - Carlo has worked as a backline tech for the band Overkill for 9 years, as well as well known bands Type O-, Propain, Biohazard,Stick, Accuser. He was a stagehand for Randalica, and has played bass for Liege Lord, and Howling Syn of Montral Canada. He has also played bass for Euro-Label band, Wasteform of Albany, NY.
Jon Seymour (Drums) - Jon has been playing drums on the Northeast US music scene for the last 10 years. Most notably, he's played in the Motorhead Tribute Band: Headmotor. Jon and Mezzy have worked together in the past in Headmotor and are back working together again alongside Billy Cunningham, and Carlo Moscardini in their new project 'Genocide Soldiers'.
