For the SoCal cover band, Geezer, however, being too old for concerts is when the fun really begins.
The band, co-founded by lead singer and comedian Adam Gimbel, covers popular songs while embracing their inner old fogey with tongue-in-cheek humor, Andy Kaufman-esque theatricality and the riffs of Rivers Cuomo. - Hanford Sentinel
“I can safely say we’re one of the most unique cover bands in the world,” said Cover Me Badd leader Adam Gimbel, whose assessment is qualitiatively accurate if mathematically incorrect. That’s because Cover Me Badd qualifies as one of the world’s most unique BATCH of cover bands, plural. - San Diego Union Tribune
Formed by Gimbel and his band Rookie Card for a 2005 Casbah show, Geezer once appeared onstage with Weezer at Cox Arena in 2008. “Their singer, Rivers Cuomo, ended up asking me about the cookies I was passing out onstage in front of 10,000 grandkids while everyone was getting set up.” - San Diego Reader

"The world's greatest coverband." -San Diego City Beat
Fake-elderly legends Geezer are simply the funniest, most unique musical
comedy act of all-time. The band blends rock, comedy and rap to hilariously
play the entire history of popular music from Nirvana and Snoop Dogg
back to Buddy Holly and AC/DC, mashed up mid-song with tons of spot-on
Weezer and Beastie Boys hits. The world's "oldest" coverband has been an answer on NPR's Ask Me Another, appeared in a KIA advertisement with Weezer at the band's personal request and recently opened San Diego's massive Downtown Throwdown
with Vanilla Ice, Coolio and Color Me Badd for 6000 screaming grandkids.
