This week, Gary Swindell, Jr. will headline a unique show that’s interactive, uplifting, entertaining– and the concert will be recorded live for his forthcoming album.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gary Swindell Jr.
Gary, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m a local gospel artist in Savannah Ga. both of my parents had a theater background, so I grew up traveling and touring on stages around the Southeast. My father was also the minister of music at the church I grew up in. So simultaneously I heard gospel and musical theater at the same time which began to develop a unique style in me. Around high school, I wanted to do sports, but one day I arrived home and my father had the band director from a prestigious Arts High school sitting in the living room, and he told me sports are out, music is in, and I’ll be going to Savannah Arts Academy for the next four years. In that high school, I was allowed to stretch my talents, by playing the saxophone and becoming the first jazz singer the school ever had. - Voyage Atl

Innovative, relevant, passionate and God sent, are just a few words to describe Gary Swindell Jr. Born in Savannah Ga, Gary Swindell Jr. comes from a family full of performers. With his parents Gary and Priscilla Swindell Sr. both well noted actors in the Georgia area, Gary Swindell's father is also in the Savannah Ga gospel hall of fame. Gary got his start in music singing along with his father in church, and from there Gary has grown and matriculated in the art and arena of gospel music. With Jazz and classical training also in his past, Gary has been able to sing all over the world, even touring China with his performing arts high school, Savannah Arts Academy. Gary Swindell Jr. released an EP called "No Crowns Allowed" in 2018, with three great praise and worship songs sure to bless any listener. January 24,2020 Gary produced a live recording in his hometown of Savannah Ga, to be released at a later date. He also has an established music ministry consulting business where he helps churches and groups grow to their next level. Gary through his music he will be able to revitalize communities, and reconcile people back to God.
