Named after an old Texas ghost town but hailing from Denton, Texas, Gander Slu has set a course of their own. Gander Slu is country music for a new generation. With roots in classic country, Americana, folk, alternative, and rock Gander Slu is bringing a much needed change to the country music landscape. Gone are the “Bro County” Nashville lyrics and Mutt Lang inspired electric guitars favoring a classic acoustic country feel with modern alternative electric guitar sound. However the unique and soulful vocals of Jordan Barta are what really set Gander Slu apart. Supporting Jordan is Eric Stark (Love & Mary and Wildwood Brotherhood) on guitar and backing vocals, Stefan Wright on guitar and backing vocals, Ladd Temple (Wildwood Brotherhood) on bass guitar and backing vocals, and Sammy Lawson on drums. If you like traditional country music with a modern alternative twist then Gander Slu is right up your alley.
