I started DJ’ing in college playing on vinyl, but really got into it in 2018 when I decided to buy a controller and teach myself on digital medium. My first big opportunity was when Diskull saw me play at an after party and then asked me to open for Hunter Reid. That has lead to some incredible opportunities (See below for a list of shows). 

The meaning of FreeSurf: Growing up as a competitive surfer, sometimes surfing was stressful. Battling for waves, hoping the judges scored you well, etc. But then, you would go for a free surf! No judges, no concerns, just you and the waves! Free to ride the wave any way you want. I imagine music is the closest any non-surfer can get to the feeling surfers call "Stoke." When you are on the dance floor and everyone is interpreting the sound waves with their own dance. No worries of being judged, just moving to their own rhythm. Come ride this wave with me!!!

Air Play - Spring of 2024 my Track "Wavy Bay" was aired on "Southern Hospitality" on Bravo and again in January 2025; December 2023 Released "House Mind" with Wait For Me on Data Transmission's DT Weapons compilation; Chosen by Roger Sanchez as the winner of a mix contest. FreeSurf was the Guest on Roger’s weekly radio show Release Yourself Radio that has 20 Million weekly listeners. Check out Show #1039 on Roger’s SoundCloud for the Guest Mix.

Festival Appearances:

FreeSurf played on The Struggle Bus at Electric Forest in 2018 and 2019 in front of 8-10k people. Also hosted FreeSurf & Friends on The Struggle Bus at Electric Forest and Imagine, and has had some epic b2b’s with the likes of Steve Darko, Diskull, DOMii, Qlank and others. In Jan 2020, he played the Official Pre-Party for The FriendShip and then was asked to play an Official Dial-A-DJ set on Ship.  Returned to The Friendship in 2023 and played several of the Renegade pop-ups.

FreeSurf & Friends: Since hosting friends on The Struggle Bus at Electric Forest, FreeSurf & Friends has become its own brand doing a takeover at Elements, Imagine, Dirtybird CampInn several years, and a weekly FreeSurf & Friends night in Charlotte in 2022-23. Currently running monthly in Charleston, SC at Trio.
