Franc Grams

Frank "Franc Grams" Colmenares (born March 10th, 1990) is a hip hop artist quickly emerging out of CT. No freshman to the underground scene, Frank boasts an impressive resume. Best known in Connecticut for founding an award winning annual talent showcase, Franc Grams can also add being named one of Connecticut’s 2013 top 40 under 40 award recipients to his resume.

His music indulged in metaphors and symbolic meanings paint the life this young rapper has pioneered. By age 13 Franc already made history in his local town as a co -founder of Writers Block Inc., a nonprofit for at risk students who are offered the arts as a preventive mechanism. No stranger to hardship Franc Grams grew up in the low income housing complexes of Boulder Drive in New London, CT. It is here where Franc was able to see the paradox the streets and drug world offered him. Determined to use his brother’s early incarceration as an ambition to succeed he allowed nothing to deter his destined main stream acclamation. 

Though born to the streets, the stage offered Franc Grams a world unparalleled by any other. Local competition is irrelevant when you check his stats. To date he has a personal record catalog that boasts several hundred recordings, with special appearances by The Game, Trae Tha Truth, Dave East, Nipsey Hussle, Fred The Godson, French Montana… etc and many more.
