Bio
F Mills, the Chicago native who earned hip-hop's acclaim for his mixtape series: 1st, 2nd, Half-Time, 3rd Quarter and "The Pre-Transition" is schedule to debut his forthcoming album, tentatively titled, “The Transition”. Given his penchant for thought provoking matters and dazzling rap skills, the Chi-Town emcee solidifies himself as a force to reckon, in a fickle and often forgotten industry.
“I transitioned from mixtapes to actual writing and crafting songs for the album, moving from Chicago to Atlanta and from working with a management company to taking control of my career”, he adamantly states.
Armed with a music gift, the business minded rapper is equally adept at being the CEO of Legitimate Hustle Music, a record label started with JYtheGod (CEO) and B Chanel (President).
Lyrically, F. Mills does not regress from his clever wordplay or extended metaphors, which are carried over into his most recent video, “Exhibit F”. The video invites viewers to share a painful moment, when the Chicago native was hospitalized for heat stroke that will leave them visibly emotional. The video was manifested from a true life experience.
F. Mills makes a noble and honorable attempt by doing his own remake of Kanye's “Say You Will” and showcase his introspective rhyme flow on “Like A Star”. All three videos were directed by award winning filmmaker, Rahiem Shabazz.
The triumphant feel of “The Transition” album can be attributed to production from renowned producer Affiliate (Melanie Fiona, Jeezy), Rick Rock and stellar production work from in-house producer Skinnyman and Leo Penrose. While performing his military duty, the young hopeful continued to craft his writing skills. Now things have come full-circle and the emcee is poised to drop the 1st single, “The Winner's Circle”. Noticed primarily for his mixtape release, the formidable lyricist album is sure to catch the ears of high ranking music executives, looking for a prosperous relationship with hip-hop's next emcee.
