Bio
Florie Namir is a multifaceted Israeli artist currently based in Boston. Classically trained in composition, piano and voice and a songwriter since a young age. While in Israel she was a front woman, keyboard player and writer of a rock-soul band. After four years the band dissolved and she moved to the US for her graduate studies. Towards the end of her PhD work in classical composition and international achievements, Florie returned to songwriting, developing new repertoire infused with classical elements and began performing as a solo artist. She played at The Boston Jewish Music Festival, Mondo. NYC festival and Industry Summit, Northeastern University, Middlebury College, Brandeis University, and gave her fist interview on WNYU radio last September.
