Highly kick ass. Atrocious psycho-on-meth vocals. Intense, chunky and ripping grind here. A good balance between deathy and grindy, and the vocals are stellar.
I wish relapse would still release grind like this.

Boy, what an album! What is it in the water in New Orleans? So many kick azz bands hail from that city, and Flesh Parade happens to be one of those bands. This is probably the most insane album anyone could ever lay their ears upon. If you're a fan of grind, this CD is a must.
This band blows me away! The unrelenting vocals can make the most peaceful of souls angry and disturbed. Not since Napalm Death's "From enslavement to obliteration" has an album so completely taken over my feelings. The low tuned fast paced guitars and distorted bass mixed with the speedy yet accentuated drumming combine with ... all out horrifiying screams to create the best overall grind album ever. I have seen this band play, and everything they do in the studio they do live. You have got to see this singer you wouldn't believe it! This is the best kept secret in, music buy this cd you don't know what you're missing. Join the Flesh Parade!
This is the way it is meant to be. fast,ugly and insane. if you dig grindcore you gonna like this one.

Another member of the Underground Series from Relapse, this CD is a collection of two FLESH PARADE demos and one 7". The band cranks out ultra-grind and speed is the be all, end all of the music. In fact this is some of the fastest and rawest grind you're ever going to hear. Pure, unadulterated mayhem. Frenzied drums, spastic guitars, and dual vocals (screams and growls) will pummel you. There are no lyrics on the CD nor anything to put the pseudo-racist cover art and title into context but it seems to be an attempt at humor, although a rather feeble one ala BRUJERIA.

Louisiana Grindcore crew FLESH PARADE began life in 1990 touting a Death Metal sound. The original group consisted of vocalist Blake Balu, guitarists Duane Marcel and Joe Militello, bassist C.J. Pierce and drummer Todd Capiton. With the roster FLESH PARADE cut the 1991 demo, "Meathook". This incarnation of the group only managed a handful of shows before folding with Balu, Marcel and Pierce all making their exit. Pierce would eventually relocate to Dallas, Texas and find fame as the guitarist for Nu-Metal act DROWNING POOL.
FLESH PARADE regrouped pulling in erstwhile SEVERANCE (NOLA) members, vocalist Jason Pilgrim and guitarist Rene Perez. The bassist position remained fluid, Ben Marrs, former bassist of EXHUMED filled the role for a brief period, but officially the band was without a bassist for its second demo, "Hate Life". Militello opted out after recording a third demo, 1993's "Worthless". Shane Lechler would then fill the bassist vacancy in 1994 for their fourth demo, "Good Stuff".
In 1997, FLESH PARADE making little effort of their own signed to Relapse Records for the release of a 7", "Kill Whitey". A CD retrospective compilation arrived in 1998 featuring Worthless, Good Stuff and the Kill Whitey 7". The same year FLESH PARADE played the Relapse stage at the Milwaukee Metalfest. The following year they were asked back to play the Relapse stage at the November to Dismember fest in Texas.
In 2000, due to lack of label interest, FLESH PARADE decided to put things on hold and focus on their personal lives. Never officially calling quits, the band left the future of FLESH PARADE in the air until the time was right for everyone to continue.
In 2005, FLESH PARADE decided to regroup and record a long awaited full length to be released on the bands label, "Mainstay Recordings", but Hurricane Katrina forced them to put things on hold.
In 2007, after Hurricane Katrina had split the members up, they regrouped and recruited new singer, Scott Leger. Rounding out the line-up on bass would be Tony Salisbury from the Grindcore band, Mule Skinner.
In 2010, finally the long-awaited album, "Dirty Sweet" was released and received well by the metal community. Flesh Parade is currently touring in support of the new record.
