Welcome to “Ladies of the Mic”. What we have here is an all femcee line up from both sides of the Bay. The event was orchestrated by Prince Golden, and DJ for the night Wally Clark.
First up was new comer Asher, from Tampa..."
"Next was St.Pete’s own Figment the Emcee. She grasped the crowd with her abstract style with great story-telling abilities over heavy samples. Not afraid to ask the crowd for donations as she raised her collection jar in the air at the end of her set, and yes, the crowd was very giving."
"By this time Fubar on the 600 block was just about packed out, the people wanting to see what dope mc would be up next....."
"Each lady brought their own style to the table and were on point. Represent ladies, stand up." - Zero Warning

A writer from the young age of 6, figment was always a closeted performer- singing in her room and making mixtapes of popular radio songs. She taped off of her television- Using a VCR to record the video, then a tape-deck smashed speaker to speaker to get the audio. She developed into an accomplished local slam poet at the age of 19, then brought her love of performance, art, and hip hop to the stage. As of today, she has played hundreds of shows in Florida cities, and is always working on multiple projects simultaneously.
"Falling in Love with hip hop was easy. Becoming an accomplished lyricist? Not so easy. Even though I had been writing for about a decade when I started rapping, It has taken almost another decade to become knowledgeable about writing & performing hip hop. It's true what they say: 'You Gotta' pay Dues'."
"I'm no stranger to taking tickets at the door, passing out flyers, sniffing out venues, or designing posters for shows. This is a Jack-of-all Trades kinda gig."
Currently, Figment is working on a Free soon-to-be released mixtape entitled "Borrowed Dreams, Stolen Sleep", as well as an untitled full length LP for future release.
