Eyce Diggi

Alisha (Eyce Diggi) Rylander a self-published author, writer, spoken word artist, music producer and recording engineer.  She was born in South Philadelphia and raised throughout the city of Philadelphia. She currently resides in West Philadelphia, PA. At a young age, she developed strong artistic abilities which created a love for the arts in general. As a young child, her passion was animation. As she grew older, she developed a love for creating music. She is one part of a production team called Dope Beats Philly. They have created music for the TV show “Stars” on Fox Network and Frankie Darcel’s play from WDAS FM “12 Angry Men”. She believes that creating meaningful business relationships and partnerships are the key to growth. Her new-found love is spoken word poetry. She has performed at Ms. Tootsies Soul Food Cafe, The Apache Café in Atlanta Georgia and various open mics in New York and Philadelphia. As she grew into her own, she realized how much she enjoyed writing and performing. Soul 7 Poetry 4 the Soul book series is very personal and close to her heart. Her new book, Soul 7 Poetry 4 The Soul “The Black Diaries” is an honest opinion of what she feels is going on in the world and community. It is an honest look at various individual’s life experiences, including her own. The Black Diaries focuses on spiritual growth, acceptance, the importance of putting ourselves first and learning to accept and love who we are. She grew up in a low-income community in West Philadelphia, so dreams like becoming a music producer or writer was more so looked at as a hobby or impossible task to accomplish. She feels that when you have a passion and you fight long and hard for something you love, just like anything else, you can make your dreams and goals come your reality. No matter how crazy people think your dreams or goals maybe, always remember whatever you dream and believe you can achieve.
