'The Promise' is a more subtle theme than the previous one speaking, this time the arpeggios and chords are responsible for accompanying an angelic voice. - DJ Mag

"Tal Tager & Y Yarchi - Back To Mine Piece On DMC World Magazine"

After a noteworthy release from TRU. back in the summer, Loot Recordings is back with a tasteful two track package from another studio duo, Yoni Yarchi & Tal Tager. The talented Israeli pair were neighbours as far back in 2011, then met properly in a Capoeira class and cemented their musical relationship from then on. Their breakthrough release came with 2010’s mesmeric ‘Tfila’ which paired a famous Hebrew prayer with live drums by Tal and was released on Lifted to great acclaim. Since then they have released on Playperview, Tenampa and more, and can count on Sasha and Stacey Pullen amongst fans of their emotive, club filling sounds. The fantastic ‘Tel Aviv Morning’ is a smooth and soothing house roller filled with all the promise and freshness of a new dawn in spring. Spine tingling synth lines and big, bold chords bring real majesty and grace to the track, and it’s the sort of scintillating thing that will light up any terrace or heartfelt dance floor. On the flip, ‘The Promise’ is another masterfully laid-back and seductive house affair that is rippled with lush arpeggios and warm chords. It is expansive and truly musical,
and has the grand sense of scale that has you craning your neck up to the skies. This is subtle and unhurried, yet impactful dance music that has real heart and
emotion, combined with an essential sense of groove and heavenly euphoria. - DMC World Magazine

"Tal Tager & Yarchi Charles Blossfeldt - Calendula Arvensis / Myosotis Review On IHouseU.com Blog"

As they start a busy run of releases from newer talents and familiar associates, Loot Recordings looks to Charles Blossfeldt for two tracks that get remixed in style by Yoni Yarchi & Tal Tager and Anthony Georges Patrice.

Blossfeldt has released on this label before now and has an allegiance to proper technique in the studio. As such he crafts an organic blend of minimal house and deep techno, and his elegant tracks combine the dance floor with a haunting analogue melody.

First up here, the fantastic ‘Calendula Arvensis’ is eight minutes of melodramatic techno with sweeping synths and brooding bass. Dancing in the mid-ground are curious melodies and the whole thing is run through with a real sense of drama and menace that cannot fail to standout in any set. The remix from Yoni Yarchi & Tal Tager who met in 2001 and have ties with labels like Playperview, Great Stuff and of course Loot. Their version of ‘Calendula Arvensis’ is a driving andlate night track with loose percussion and sci-fi synths searching across the groove. Colourful andorganic, it is a subtly uplifting affair.

‘Myosotis’ is the other original and again is an attention grabbing affair with tumultuous drums and turbulent synths spraying about to add real theatre to the grooves. Well arranged and musically interesting, this is an emotive cut for sure. Remixing it is Anthony Georges Patrice, a regular at clubs like Batofar in Paris, producer who counts Laurent Garnier as a fan and lover of Detroit sounds and Rhodes piano. His smooth, six-minute deep techno version is trance inducing and intense, but in brain soothing ways, with its lingering pads, celestial chords and generally heavenly feel.

"Tal Tager & Y Yarchi In Another Dimension Review O IHouseU.com Blog"

Loot Recordings welcome the Israeli duo of Yoni Yarchi & Tal Tager for another new EP after the pair impressed here with their ‘Tel Aviv Morning’ record last year. This special new release takes a deep dive into the world of emotive, thoughtful dance music and also includes superb remixes by Powel and Rancido.

Yoni Yarchi & Tal Tager like to spread positive messages with their music and have been doing so for more than a decade. They have had hits on Aquaviva’s Definitive label and have turned out award winning tracks like ‘Sirocco’ that have got endless DJ and radio support. Their aforementioned ‘Tel Aviv Morning’ Ep on this label last year whipped up a huge buzz and this new one is sure to do the same.

The original of ‘In Another Dimension’ is a heartfelt journey that reminds of playful, carefree days of summer with distant sounds of joyful children in the background. The throbbing bass and tight percussive groove is sprinkled with gentle piano melodies and guitar riffs that complement the swelling synth lines and overall mood of the track. This is a special, musical affair that will have you dreaming and lost on the dance floor.

The first remix comes from Powel, a quality purveyor of melodic deep house on labels such as All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep and Kindisch. He delivers a wonderful interpretation that includes elements of the original, but adds his own musical prowess and keen sense of musical storytelling. Lush pads, violins, tinkling pianos and memorable melodic riffs will stay with you long after you’ve heard it, in turn encouraging you to return to it over and over.

Rancido, whose productions have appeared on quality labels such as Innervisions, Connoisseur and Still Var Talent, is one of the rising talents on the Dutch scene. His remix centres around an afro-beat tinged deep house vibe. In some ways it’s the biggest track of the package, heading straight for the dance floor. The energy and tension continuously builds as a slow rising synth growls and grinds throughout the track, making this one perfect for the main moments of the night.

This is a beautiful EP that marries emotive deepness with driving grooves and is another winning effort from all involved.

"Tal Tager & Y Yarchi In Another Dimension Review On Magazine Sixty"

So ok, we’re jumping the gun ever so slightly here as this is not released until January but then again why not, when music is this exceptional you just can’t hold it back. Yoni Yarchi & Tal Tager produced the equally stunning ‘Tel Aviv Morning’ last year for the label and if they’re distinctive, emotionally charged music turned up on your radar then, In Another Dimension will not let you down either. In fact, in ways this takes all that resonates with the pair and pushes it further still, exploring all that fervent sensibility until this appeared. Perfectly formed. The organic appeal of piano and guitar motifs are expressed beautifully as a haunting sense of expectation gathers pace against the backdrop of shuffling drum machines, alongside re-occurring pads and complimenting drones. Two excellent remixes enhance the original beginning with Powel who adds a more pondering application of melancholy accentuating the piano plus chiming, persuasive percussion and redolent dreamy escapes all the way home. Next, Rancido excites the darker aspects with moodier keys playing out across tough drums resulting in yet another great production. I suspect (and hope) there is an album forthcoming to let their imaginations fly free over an extended period of time!?! - Magazine Sixty

"Tal Tager & Y Yarchi In Another Dimension Review By Dole & Kombucha On Death By Disco (German)"

"Tal Tager & Y Yarchi Interview To My Music Moments Blog"

Where are you from? We are both originally from Tel Aviv, Israel. Both born and raised.
How long have you been making music? We have been making music since a very young age. Yoni as he is more on the Keyboards/Guitar and melodies making instruments started around the age of 13. Myself (Tal) have always been about the rhythm, drums, and percussions. Self-taught beginning the age of 6.
What is your favorite piece of gear/software? Well kinda hard to answer as technology is evolving and changing by the second. So far we have been making music organically more than an indoor studio. We love the Akai controller which is great for Live PA, (Tal) in my gigs im using the NI Kontroller S8 which is giving me the ability to go full force on the 4 tracks as one concept and if I decide to go crazy then also Stems and other cool features. Also as I do Live Percussions PA then the Handsonic HD20 By Roland. Logic and Ableton both rewired and of course, Kontakt are all favorites of ours for various different things along the production journey.
Anything else of interest – collaborations, releases? Actually yes, we are working at the moment on a collaboration with a pioneering individual who is highly respected in the underground industry and a house veteran. Inspiration to both Yoni & Myself. Unfortunately, as for now we can not really drop any names but expect something big from all the individuals involved and of course a big promo campaign as we finalize this project. Other than that have a few options for released lined up as well but again, can’t talk before its all been finalized!
Is making music a full-time job? Well for the most part that is the main goal. As for myself (Tal) yes, music and Djing have always been my main job as I believe in doing absolutely and nothing but what you love doing. Through my life, I have met too many souls that are forever unhappy and unfulfilled because they have never chased that one dream they’ve had which in most cases also defines who you are and your genuine happiness. After seeing and hearing these individuals I have decided that no matter what this will be my way and now finally we see the fruits of our hard work. For Yoni, it’s also the main goal but for myself being single with not too many responsibilities and def lot more time VS a lovely wife and 3 kids it's a bit tougher but soon will be getting there as well.
How was this EP recorded?
Mainly we have been using The base of every track, Logic Pro X with Adam Monitors, RME Babyface Card, Bluebird Mic, Zoom H4N used to record Tribal Kids, Birds and Forest Atmosphere, Dynaudio MK2’s.

Can you tell me about the idea behind it?
We have produced the track in two different sides of the globe via remote control. Yoni is based in Tel Aviv, Israel, Tal is in Houston, Texas, in a way it was feeling at times as if we are communicating through different dimensions. The only way for us to communicate during the workflow is via social media and other devices, at moments of a writer's block, we’ve been messing around till we’ve come up with the idea to name the track "In Another Dimension”. Reflecting our communication between the dimensions.

Did you sample anyone?
To be completely honest as of now, as we are still developing our own unique signature sound, we are trying to avoid using samples of people in every aspect unless really essential and fitting our projects and as we’ve tried other things but those samples seemed to complete the masterpiece. We haven’t gotten to this scenario in full honesty :) We did although sampled organic sounds. Meaning as you can hear in this specific track the happy kids in the background, birds and overall organic nature and outdoor sounds as it's our recording and inspiration ground nowadays more than anything.

Who are your inspirations/influences?
That is always one of the toughest questions to be asked for the fact there are way too many to name. If we’ve had to name a few then we are influenced by a huge verity of producers and DJ’s all from various genres and sub-genres of House & Techno. Lee Burridge and his dreamers have been a huge influence on us. John Acquaviva is also one of the people who has made an impact on us through the years with his many different styles of music and inspiration through his sets and productions. Luciano and the Cadenza tribe with their cool original productions and genuine concept to help tribes and people around with their theme of parties, organic productions with also many nature sounds and instruments. Above & Beyond and their huge factory of Anjuna Deep/Beats with the genius talent that keeps on rising from that label. Audiofly and the Flying Circus crew, Tiefschwarz, Steve Lawler through the early work and the Viva Warriors of today. Global Underground of course and the many compilations. Sasha and his Last Night On Earth that keeps evolving none stop, Guy J of course as a brother Israeli. Loco Dice and Desolate and as I’ve said, many many many more which why always hard to name them all but I think you get the idea.

What are you up to next
As I’ve mentioned before Yoni & myself are working on a huge collaboration with a very known and respected DJ/Producer and a label owner who is well known through his service to Underground House &Techno world. A few big label offers for the upcoming EPs which we are both very proud and excited about just, unfortunately, cannot mention any names at the moment. Another big exciting news we can actually share personally is the fact we have finally started working on a solo production album with nothing but original organic tracks that each one will be its own unique masterpiece. Besides that, we are hoping to unite, either on stage or the DJ booth through various gigs and through that, besides spreading the Love and unity message behind House music, also to see the world as we get inspiration for future creations. - My Music Moments

"Tal Tager & Y Yarchi Interview Q&A On Magazine Sixty By"

Hello and welcome to Magazine Sixty, Yoni Yarchi & Tal Tager. First of all thank you for ‘Tel Aviv Morning’ one of my favourite records from last year. Could we start by asking about how you translate the visual into music and is observing images more inspirational than beginning with a singular sound?

Well first of, thank you very much for honoring us with this interview and for the genuine compliment about “Tel Aviv Morning”. We couldn’t be happier about the love, support and positive feedback we’ve received because of it. So let’s begin. As far as visuals, as we produce our tracks, lately we have gotten pretty deep into what’s called “Emotive House” now a days. Those dreamy sounds which makes your body and soul feels as if you were floating somewhere magical, peaceful, maybe somewhere better where you can be your 100 percent true self. I guess that answers the visuals and inspiration. As we produce, hoping to reach such a place, if not physically, then definitely mentally and emotionally.

Your new single for Loot Recordings ‘In Another Dimension’ is equally life-affirming. Can you talk us through the initial ideas and how they were then produced, including any favorite studio hardware/ software you particularly like to use?

We have produced the track in two different sides of the globe via remote control. Yoni is based in Tel Aviv, Israel & Tal is in Houston, Texas. In a way it was feeling at times as if we are communicating through different dimensions. The only way for us to communicate during the work flow is via social media and other devices. During moments of writers block, we were messing around at times until we came up with the idea to name the track “In Another Dimension”. Reflecting our communication between the dimensions. Mainly we have been using the base of every track, Logic Pro X with Adam Monitors, RME Babyface Card, Bluebird Mic, Zoom H4N used to record Tribal Kids, Birds and Forest Atmosphere, Dynaudio MK2’s.

You aren’t afraid of using more traditional instruments in the production such as guitar and piano. I was wondering about the sorts of musicians that have influenced you outside of Dance Music?

We are huge believers in the organic aspects of live instruments. Yoni comes from a classic background of piano and guitars. As for me (Tal), I’ve been a drummer and percussionist since I can remember myself tapping on whatever moves at the age of six. From there it was all self-taught. We love and are influenced from basically almost all types of music. We are both huge fans of Enigma, 80’s and 90’s freaks. So that means anything from Sade, Genesis, The Cars, Tears For Fears, Billy Idol, A-HA, Mike & The Mechanics, Santana to early 90’s Hip-Hop & Rap, 2Pac, Notorious, Warren G, Coolio, as well as the standard stuff like classical symphony music, such as Hans Zimmer. Sure most Deep House producers will include him in their inspiration for the fact that the man is simply a genius with every creation.

Tell us about the choice of remixers for the track: Powel and Rancido?

Well for the fact, this time we both really value the track and think it deserves nothing but the best creative remake. There are only certain individuals out there which are leading the scene musically that we’ve both, including Kered from Loot Recordings – the man with the plan, we would like to give that opportunity. The purpose was to aim big so we offered it to many. Some were occupied with busy schedules and some just don’t do remixes no more. For the fact we all agreed on two different remixes then we wanted each to be as different, but unique and we couldn’t ask for more. Powell of “All Day I Dream” which everything about the label and the army of creative minds behind it is influencing us, plus he’s got a very unique classical style to his tracks that we love. We admire Rancido and his music, especially his affiliation with “Innervisions” of Dixon & Ame which we’re both huge fans of for years now. The tribal, African roots of his deep melodic productions fits perfectly.

How did your Technique Radio Show on HFM IBIZA come about? Why do you think radio is still such a powerful force in the on-line world after decades as a medium across the airwaves?

Technique Radio Show actually started from a weekly podcast Yoni and myself were mixing on a weekly basis. We share this weekly with a solo mix from one of us and alternate. The shows slogan is “TECHing you on a musical journey with our own unique Technique” For the reason each mix is totally improvised and recorded on the spot with a variety of different mixing skills and techniques unique to each one of us. Then here we are a few episodes in with some lack of consistency and there came that huge offer/opportunity to get featured with a weekly radio show on one of Ibiza’s biggest radio stations among some of the pioneers we grew up on. Chus & Ceballos, Roger Sanchez, Chicane, Ferry Corsten, RobbIe Rivera & Cosmic Gate and many others have shows too, as well as some of the leading acts of today’s scene. Guys like Claptone, Coyu, Oscar L and more. Yoni and I have both dreamed about going to Ibiza and eventually spinning there some day and ironically, we are broadcasting a weekly radio show without stepping foot on that magical island. Maybe someday!

What is the best thing about DJ’ing?

We’re glad you asked this! We’ve been waiting to be asked so we can shine some light on that. It can mean many things to many different individuals, but when comes to me (Tal) and in general to the both of us, it goes deeper than deep. Djing is literally everything. It’s like water which equals life. Wouldn’t change nor will you be able to go without it. It keeps us alive during life’s rollercoaster, which at times can be pretty rough ride. From the day of the gig, as you’re getting new music and preparing yourself, it takes you and the dance floor on a musical journey. As it depends on the night, the venue and hours, if we get the chance to go deep and emotional, then it means something deep and meaningful to us. In a way, which is hard to explain at times, it ends with some lessons learned, but it always, without a doubt, also finishes with a big smile and satisfaction. To be able to give such a gift on the dancers, DJing is the best feeling. You are giving people the therapy they need to let go, be themselves and also weather they are aware or not, the only way for them to communicate and see the natural human connection without the decision of color and race.

What for you makes music underground – is sometimes feels like a debate between melody, emotion and rhythm? How do you see the balance between protecting it from ever expanding commercial interests and big money?

That’s as well a great question. What makes music underground for us is the forward thinking, blending tons of elements and creating something unique that one must be advanced with intelligent in order to like and to get for the fact now a days a lot of the House/Techno tracks has got no lyrics whatsoever which means you have got to understand sounds and frequencies to really get the message behind them which is done only with the spirit and body cause of emotions/feelings. Underground music speaks the truth. Anyone can produce something catchy with lyrics that rhymes, yet means absolutely nothing or creates a division with hate to one another. Guns, clubs, popping bottles, degrading sex with catchy beat? No no, that isn’t the message here. Love, unity, joy, happiness, moving and grooving as one under one roof, yes that is definitely how we see it. It’s about cutting edge, and in a way, trying to “break the rules of music”. Being what’s called a sheep, but not the one who follows, the one who leads and make others follow. Now that is our definition of underground house music!

And finally. What are your plans moving into 2018?

2018 is gonna be big, busy and productive for us as we are planning on getting a full Live PA going, a debut artist album, weekly up and coming acts on our Technique Radio Show, maybe change or should I say add to our sound a bit more verity as we are both coming from more dark percussive tribally tech/techno? And overall, one of the main goals is to take our sound internationally with more club gigs in order to share our vision, spread the unity message for hours on the dance floor. Yoni is the brother I’ve never had for life. We are not just music partners, but share a special friendship that goes very deep! - Magazine Sixty

Bio

in 2010 Tel had made a very special track with a very known Hebrew prayer and 2 min live drum percussive solo by Tal called “Tfila” (prayer in english) and signed it in “Lifted Recordings” In London.
after that many more tracks got produced but just went to private personal collection he called “played but unsigned” for certain DJ’s and producers out there to drop in their sets.                                               in the end of 2013 he had decided to go and try a style which a’int his signature style, as the new age Deep House and Nu-disco started taking over the House world and came out with “Around Me” that got signed on the Brazilian Label “Playperview" of owners HNQO (Hot Creations, Hot Waves, ITH/Defected In The House) & Fabo (Great Stuff & Nurvous) and got an EP with mad support and remixes from known artists like Dake & Pillow Talk.                                                                                That marked the beginning of a massive global awareness for his music career.                                   Less than a year after in 2014 he had signed the track “Sunny & Bright” who is influenced from many latin elements with a beachy groove vibe on the label “Fever Sound Records” who is based in Tunis on their WMC Sampler and won best selling track in the compilation. in May 2015 he reached the Super Mexican Label “Tenampa Recordings”with his track “Sirocco” which was created with a lot of desert middle eastern heart and vibe. that is cause of the very unique flute solo and live Darbuka in the background played by Tal. Sirocco had won the top selling track on the “Tenampa Summer Essentials” sampler with mad early and late support from kings like Sasha,Hernan Catteno, Anthony Pappa,Joseph Capriati, Paco Osuna, Stacey Pullen, Him_Self_Her, Martin Eyrer, Lemon 8, Argenis Brito, Jon Charnis, Tara Brooks, Los Suruba, Martin Eyerer, Darlyn Vlys, Ibiza Sonica Radio, Ibiza Voice Radio and many many many more.
