I worked on this guitar part for days, and it’s in a D-minor tuning that nobody plays in, and I auditioned her, and just to try it out, I had her play this guitar part in D minor and as soon as she figured it out, when she laid it down, it totally kicked my part right out of the recording. Emily Victoria is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, bassist, percusionist living in New York City. She has an eclectic mix of songs that cross all genres. She has an incredible vocal versatility and range. Her vocals go from a smooth, warm, sultry sound to a powerful pop/rock sound. She is also a member of UPROOTED led by Michael Glabicki of Rusted Root. Uprooted co-headlined with the Spin Doctors and supported Allman Betts Band. Uprooted has headlined many shows, including Allegheny County Summer Concert Series in Pittsburgh, PA with an audience of 10,000. She is also lead female singer in The Fresh Kids of Bel-Air in NYC with a weekly residency in NYC. Emily also has performed at Cafe Wha? with the house band. She also performs with her band all over NYC and performed acoustic solo at The Big E in September. Emily can perform acoustically solo, as a duo or her full band. Emily creates unique, passionate, expressive songs with a pop, rock, blues edge to them. Emily writes from the heart, speaking of her own experiences. Some of her greatest influences are Judy Garland, Ella Fitzgerald, The Beatles, Heart, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith and Prince. Emily's soulful vocals and passionate lyrics make her music addictive and simply irresistible! She is currently recording new music in NYC!
