The all-female Electrets blend grungy punk and rock 'n roll grooves with quirky keyboard lines, harmonies, and modern-day female irreverence. The name 'Electrets' was taken from an old electret-type microphone - a nod to the band's affinity for technology and sounds from the analog era.
Their songs have been played on LA's 88.5 FM by Kevin Bronson on BuzzBands.LA, and Mr. Shovel on City of Night, as well as iheartRadio.
The Electrets released their first EP entitled 'Misfit' on August 16th, 2014 at the Troubadour in Los Angeles. The EP was mixed by Andrew Schubert (Together Pangea, Audacity, MixLA).
