“Elder Sun started as a chance meeting between singer Michael Crowe and bassist Paul Yaffe during a song-writing session in 2012. After experimenting with several musicians, Paul and Michael called upon drummer, Reni Rivera, who had worked with Paul on several studio projects in the past. What started out as a simple songwriting project between Michael, Paul and Reni quickly turned into something more worthy of the stage. In just under a year, the band had played Masquerade, Red Hare Brewery, 10 High, Red Clay Theatre, Bone Lick and 120 Tavern. Their music has been regularly featured on Radio 105.7 Locals Only and Rock 100.5 Local Licks. Song influences come from classic, familiar rock sounds from Tom Petty to REM, from Nirvana to Kings of Leon, from Neil Young to the Foo Fighters.”
