Edward The Confessor

Edward The Confessor is four guys who have and do play in a range of Twin Cities bands. You can probably hear the various rock styles at play - punk, post-punk, power-pop, indie, acoustic, pop, solo and group work. Hancock and Larsen have played music together on and off since they were teenagers. Burkhardt joined the two in a band called Red Light in early 2003. In 2010, Hancock, Burkhardt and Larsen rejoined forces and began working up songs in Larsen’s living room. These early gatherings led to a full set in mid 2011, with David LeDuc (Enemy Planes) joining on bass in 2012. The first Edward the Confessor EP was recorded by Zachary Hollander at The Pearl Recording Studio in Spring 2012 and released in December of that year. Dillon Marchus (Communist Daughter) joined the band in the Fall of 2013 on bass. A second EP was recorded over the course of 2013 (again at The Pearl Recording Studio with Zachary Hollander at the controls). The second EP is slated for release in the late spring of 2014.
