SavvyMuzik is excited to announce that they just signed Urban-Gospel group, Dynahsti, from Dallas, Texas to a World Wide Distribution agreement. Dynahsti formed in 2006 by budding young gospel singers Krystal and Ashley Stepney. Krystal is a junior in College Majoring in Music Education and is also a songwriter, currently studying Opera. Ashley, on the other hand, Major’s in Drama, she loves plays and musicals and has starred in “Bluest Eye” and many others.
The music of Dynahsti is a beautiful blend of new and old and pushes the boundaries of traditional gospel music utilising urban gang vocals, strong beats and polished production to spread the word of God to a modern audience. The immediate attraction in Dynahsti’s music is the high calibre of vocal talent, taking precedence from modern artists such as Rihanna and Beyoncé whilst maintaining that beautiful soul-filled, a cappella style renowned in Gospel artists.

when Union Staff Writer soldiers arrived in Galveston with word that the war was over and that slaves had been set free. Sweat dotted the faces of Vendy and Billie Stepney as they waited for their daughters to sing onstage at the Juneteenth Cultural Festival at the Fair Park band shelter. Though the Stepneys usually commemorate Juneteenth at home, the fellowship of Saturday’s public event drew the Dallas couple out this year. “It’s very special to me because it’s a great way for us to get together and unite in fellowship,” said Billie Stepney, 48. “I think that our culture needs to show more unity “It’s our emancipation, we need to express more love toward each other. It is important that we do this.” Juneteenth is a great time for everybody to get together and barbecue, see family and really express love, still we celebrate it, and it’s significant, said Vendy Stepney; 50. The Stepneys’ daughters Krystal, 24, and Ashley, 20, form a contemporary Christian group, Dynahsti, that has recently began performing in North Texas area. Juneteenth gave them the opportunity to sing on a day that their parents say has an important meaning. And although it is years later, Festival president Allyson Pritchett said that Juneteenth Holiday commemorates volunteers hope to regenerate interest in Juneteenth among the younger generation. “This is the day everyone found out that they were free,” said Pritchett, 27, owner of in dependent music label ACE Music Group. “I wanted to get the dialogue restarted about it with different ages, different families and different people. - Dallas Morning News

Dynahsti is a female Urban/Inspirational vocal duo group from Dallas, Texas assembled in 2006. Dynahsti launched with members Krystal and Ashley Stepney, who are sisters. Encouragement. Is the main core of what you will hear throughout the self-entitled CD DYNAHSTI. They want to inspire this generation to remember to be strong leaders and to follow their dreams. Most importantly, they want to encourage people that are going through problems that "You can get back up again" with an inspiring message of Love and restoration written by Krystal Stepney and Ashley Stepney.
Krystal is a soprano and studied opera in college and is a songwriter. Ashley, is a soprano and songwriter she plays the acoustic guitar. The inspiration for the duo comes from their family of musicians and singers. Their collage of musical influences include, Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, 21:03, Mary Mary. These influences helped to create their own blended style that makes Dynahsti's distinctive vocals. Their signature crystalline harmonies best described as Urban and Gospel Neo Soul mixed with Jazzy accents with a Techno groove.
Their music is a beautiful blend that combines contemporary with traditional music which creates a fresh approach to Urban/Inspirational music. Utilizing Urban vocals, strong beats and polished production. Dynahsti's debut CD entitled DYNAHSTI it has been released. We are in the studio working on our EP, that is coming out soon.
