Dread Champion

Dread Champion is music for the spirit, and rap for the masses. I endeavor to create a compelling narrative to explain the pitfalls of my life, as well as the high points. I desire to be seen and understood, and my music is all about that journey.

When I wrote my first rap song, it was a joke, written for fun. I decided afterwards that I wanted to write another one, and from there I just kept going. In 2009, I was faced with a decision: take music more seriously and learn my craft, or give it up completely and stop wasting time. I decided to keep going.

I went to college and got certified as an audio engineer, and I started purchasing studio gear. It wasn't too long before I was writing and recording mixtapes.

In 2011, I released MMM... 

MMM... has the marks of an artist figuring out his craft, and I think it is a great landmark to compare my other works to, in order to see my growth as an artist.

I had several other projects and tracks along the way, but it wasn't until 2014 that I released my next mixtape: I'm Just A Fool. 

In 2015, I had probably my best release so far: Back To Jade Pastures. 

I tried many different things throughout all these releases, but I feel that I found my sound most in BTJP.

I bring a very hype personality to the mic, and lyricism is always my primary goal. I will work hard to win over any crowd with my tenacious spirit, and I will always leave it all on the stage.

The future holds much for me, and I aim to be seen and heard along the way.
