Don't Tell Kate's 90's inspired rock started in a haze of smoke and red vines. Bassist Brick
Campbell and guitarist Nick Giordano met singer Nikki 9Volt (Kate) while
performing at a memorial day BBQ in their cover band. Nikki jumped
onstage to sing two songs with the band which kicked off a string of
events that lead to the formation of Don't Tell Kate. By February 2023
drummer Nick Dietz arrived as if sent by angels with his divine
background vocals, belly busting quips, and a few songs of his own. Upon
album completion in 2024, Dietz's talents were moved front stage making
room behind the kit for drummer Mark Melvin and his fantastic hair
(thanks Craigslist, again). Sporting 3 songwriters DTK unabashedly
tackle songs that range from post punk psychedelia, to 90’s indie pop,
to bat out of hell riot girl punk ditties.
Don't Tell Kate's first album "Magic Villain" will be fully released on
streaming in September '24 and on Vinyl in October '24
