It is really hard to express how deeply this interview touched me. Donovan is such an impressive human being. The things he has seen, done and experienced are extraordinary in every real sense of the word. Additionally, one of the very most extraordinary things I experienced during my interview with him is how humble and sweet he remains. CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Veteran Crisis Hotline said they have seen an increase in calls since the capital of Afghanistan collapsed Sunday. A Chattanooga-based nonprofit is working to help veterans triggered from the trauma through music.
Freedom Sings USA helps veterans cope by talking through their traumas and putting those experiences into a song. The non-profit has songwriters who hold classes with veterans across the country. They have helped hundreds cope with tragedies in a healthy way.
Chapman now serves as a Special Operations Veterans Class leader with the Chattanooga-based nonprofit.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Air Force Pararescue Combat Veteran, Donovan Chapman, has released his first album in 13 years, titled Brotherhood and is eager to get back in front of his fans! “This music is a representation of my life’s journey that encompasses my surrender to spiritual truths that have guided me to a new life and understanding. The love and bond we share within the special operations communities are the characteristics of a family of warriors who have endured and overcome to help others suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). The surrender of one’s life to a higher power is the greatest accomplishment towards a new future of unlimited potential.” shared Donovan Chapman. Donovan stated that album Brotherhood is very much so a humanitarian album, as it contains military songs such as, Military Man, Brotherhood, Two Veterans and Follow Me. Donovan states, “I would like viewers to feel the passion of my support for law enforcement, and for people to realize the sacrifices being made by these officers that are frequently overlooked or unnoticed. Officers die in the line of duty protecting us, and that sacrifice is the greatest sacrifice to our country.” Donovan's popular hit song, Highway Patrolman, is an example of how he shines light on all the great work law enforcement do, day in and day out! Donovan dedicated this song to all law enforcement officers who serve our community and keep our country safe. The album also contains some fun and upbeat songs like Cottonmouth, Fame and Another Try, which are sure to be loved by all.
