Proudly demonstrating well over a decade of experience behind the 1's and 2's, Throdown creates adventurous DJ sets showcasing a cornucopia of nightclub hits and timeless classics spliced together with turntable finesse, while engaging his audience with powerful stage presence and microphone stunts... His years of study have earned him the stripes and the collection of sounds to deliver something for everyone, resulting in an all-encompassing résumé of countless performances spanning from weddings and proms, to raves and music festivals, to radio and nightclubs, to rap shows and DJ battles.
Outside of the DJ booth, the cut crusader's passion for the art continues, as he can be found sharing nearly half a lifetime's worth of knowledge and experience with up-and-coming selectors at the Beat Refinery, the mid-Atlantic's premier DJ and music production school.

Throdown's unparalleled performance style has earned him many prestigious accolades throughout his musical journey. Competing every year since 2012 in the DMC - the world's longest running, most respected DJ battle- he was most recently crowned the 2017 champion of the first ever DMC Pittsburgh Regional, and went on to earn 4th place in the 2017 DMC US Finals in NYC. Also this past year, Throdown officially teamed up with his star protégé, 10 year old phenom DJ Kool Flash, and produced a 4-turntable tagteam performance that earned them 3rd place in the DMC Online World Championships Teams category. In 2016, Throdown became a World Finalist in the solo DMC Online DJ Battles. In 2015 he won his first Regional Championship title in his hometown of Washington, DC and went on to earn 4th place in the 2015 DMC US Finals. Throdown's unique showcases have positioned him as a main attraction at some of the country's biggest music festivals, including SXSW, Lollapalooza, Big Dub, Dreamscape Festival, Laniakea Transformational Arts Festival, and Freeform Fest. Outside his home turf of DC/MD/VA he has ignited dancefloors as far as Chicago, Miami, New Orleans, Austin, Reno, New Jersey, Raleigh, Denver, Pittsburgh, New York and San Diego, sharing stages with Wu Tang Clan, A-Trak, Diplo, Flosstradamus, DJ Craze, Qbert, and even Vanilla Ice, just to name a few.
