Distant Skies

"I just want to first start off by thanking Distant Skies for allowing PM to come into the lives of these amazing friends, band mates, and artists. It was a pleasure working with them and I expect nothing but greatness coming from this band. Everyday we would all go into that studio I felt something I’ve never felt with any other artist. I felt work to be done. No excuses, just work. Now of course, it wasn’t always serous but for the most part, in one day I believe, the band recorded 7 songs. Goes to show you that this band was prepared. In the videos you don’t really get to see the lives of these artists. Let me tell you, every single one of them have something to bring to the table. I got to spend about 3 to 4 months with them and what I can see is that they all bring something special to the music, for example, Irvin which is the (Guitarist) can write music like I’ve never seen. he literally has 100s of different melodies/songs in his phone where he likes to record first, then from there brings it to the rest of the band. From there, everyone jumps on it and brings what they have. They remind me of superheroes, everyone has a different power to defeat and complete a song. It’s really inspiring when you see them perform and work together. Kind of cheesy. but hey! So we have Irvin, who writes the music mainly or sparks the ideas. Lets move onto Carin, she’s an amazing singer. Natural, nothing about her is forced. I believe it has to do with her starting at a young age, it comes very Natural to her. She is actually the song writer (lyricist). I can see when she performs a song, she really sings from the heart. you wont be disappointed. On to Sam witch is the (Bass Player). This Guy is very talented. Not only does he play bass, but this man is amazing on the piano. Sam is very good at the technical part of music. He will literally catch the smallest things when playing back music, tempo, notes, ect. He is very good at reading music and Iv’e noticed, a lot of people in the music business really don’t even know how to read notes. They go off ear, which there is nothing wrong with that. Now Carlos (Drummer). Where do I start? This guy can smack the shit out of those drums! He will literary play along with you, just give him a nice melody and its like you guys been playing together for years. He reminds me of Travis Barker and DJ AM. When they were doing shows , AM would throw on a beat (instrumental), and Travis would come up with something crazy. Yeah, thats Carlos. Very talented with the drums. So you see, I really have grown an interest in this band and I cant wait for the world to hear this album. But not even just the album, but good amazing artists, not just artists trying to get by.
