A native of the Richmond, Virginia, Dirty Metal Lefty (BMI) comes "Straight Out of Nowhere" with an ecclectic mix of dark, blues-inspired indie alt-rock.
A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, Dirty Doc is the living definition of an "Independent DYI Artist". She writes, performs, and records all of Dirty Metal Lefty's original compositions, often co-producing with renowned engineer, John Morand (Cracker, Hanson, Joan Osborne). Determined not to wait for success, Dirty Metal Lefty carves a path through the mundane with a sound guaranteed to raise a few eyebrows yet palatable enough to hit repeat.
Acoustic or electric, this independent singer-songwriter is unapologetically raw and always fails to disappoint.
Influences include (but not limited to): Sade; Afro-Celt Sound System; Alice In Chains; Deftones; Soundgarden; Crosby, Stills, and Nash; Albert King; Nina Simone, Jeff Buckley, Fantastic Negrito
