[show]Career Edit
During the summer of 2016 Shane and Tai Coats agreed upon the group name "Deviant Horror" (Often just called "Deviant") based upon the deviant sexual nature of both the lyrical content of the upcoming music being written, and their individual personalities, as well as there love for all elements of horror entertainment. The first track written by the duo was their hit single "Chopping Up Bodies", which initially inspired the two to create the stage personas of "Ratchet" and "Sukkew". Ratchet for Shane, due to his grungy physical hygiene and extreme sexual perversions, and Sukkew for Tai, due to her seductive beauty closely resembling that of a Succubus. The album "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" began production in 2016, and was finally released during the summer of 2018, contains 11 tracks, and features Bonez Dubb of Axe Murder Boyz and Razakel, and is available on CD as well as all major music platforms for streaming and digital download.[2] The duo is currently working on 3 new projects. Their second free mixtape titled "Aggression" which is set to include collaborations from each active DHE artist, as well as Enasnimi, Acetone Boogie x Izzo, and KNGSLY. The first single for the mixtape, titled "Errday' ft SHADE, was released via YouTube on March 25, 2020. The second new project will be their second, full length, studio album titled "Empire", to which they have recently released the first two singles from the album titled “6 Feet Deep” and "Gravestone" ft Kung Fu Vampire. On March 10, 2020, a surprise single and music video, with a darker, far more experimental, vibe titled “D3SOL473” was released, followed up almost immediately by another surprise single and music video, with a heavy “trap” vibe to it, on March 23, 2020 titled “3X15T3Nt14L”. Since those drops, it has been revealed that the third new project coming is a “secret album”, in which the only publicized details of, state that the two new surprise singles would be included in the release of the secret album.[3]
Television/Film Appearances Edit
Deviant Horror’s single “Chopping Up Bodies” was also featured briefly in one of the most successful indie horror films of 2019[10], “Clown Motel: Spirits Arise”, starring Ari Lehman (1980 Friday The 13th's Jason Voorhees) and Tony Moran (1978 Halloween's Michael Myers), as well as their song “Clown Motel”, which was an original composition written as the theme song for the hit film. They are also scripted to also be a involved in the upcoming sequel “Clown Motel: 2 Death Do Us Part”. The official KickStarter for the new film states "Actor/Actress and Musician Deviant Horror will be joining us as deranged clowns for the first time. Deviant songs "Chopping up Bodies" and "Clown Motel" were in "Clown Motel-Spirit's Arise". You do not want to cross paths with these two!", which will mark as both's first scripted roll in a feature film.[11]
