"... Returning to their roots this year by crafting their own brand of upbeat rock and Americana, Deveroe is showcasing new material at live shows that is guaranteed to get people moving.
Performing a mix of originals and covers from the likes of The Lumineers and The Avett Brothers, the Dave Matthews Band and Stone Temple Pilots, among others, Deveroe’s catalog of material covers a wide range.
“We are thrilled to be on the main stage at the Strawberry Festival,” shared Deveroe’s Christopher Ruffo.

The Binghamton-based band Deveroe, well-known in the southern tier and region for their upbeat rock and Americana sound, announce a CD release party of their new original EP, “’shine,” to be held at the Ransom Steele Tavern, located at 552 Main St. in Apalachin, N.Y. on Saturday, July 16.
Focused on crafting new material nearly two years in the making, Deveroe produced a live-in- studio recording that band members, Christopher Ruffo and Steven Kocich, both guitar and vocals, and Matt Ebbers, drums and percussion, describe as a more organic and roots-based acoustic sound with an Americana feel.
The ‘shine project again puts the spotlight on Deveroe’s songwriting skills, just one of several elements that unveils the band’s continued growth since their previous release “One.” Ruffo and Kocich have been collaborating for about eight years, and Ebbers joined the band two years ago.
The live-in-studio “’shine” sessions also reveal how diverse Deveroe’s music can be and captured what the band explained was, “A cool atmosphere, where we shared positive energy.”
In addition to songs from their new release, Deveroe will also perform originals from their previous album, “One,” as well as covers from the likes of The Lumineers and The Avett Brothers, the Dave Matthews Band and Stone Temple Pilots, among others.
Deveroe is pleased to be hosting their CD release party at Ransom Steele Tavern, a favorite venue of the band. They expressed that the Steele is an overall phenomenal experience and like that it is, “A music venue first.”
Live performances exhibit Deveroe’s celebration-of-life-vibe and with their catalog of material covering a wide range, fans are guaranteed a get-up-and-move kind of show.
The opener for Deveroe’s July 16 CD release party is Newfield, N.Y.’s Dapper Dan, a rock and blues quartet who will offer up their self-described, “Funkalicious Power Space Reggae.” Dapper Dan takes the stage at 8 p.m. followed by Deveroe’s “’shine” debut at 10:30 p.m.
Copies of Deveroe’s new CD will be available the evening of the show, as well as other merchandise like tee shirts and bumper stickers. The CD is also set to be released digitally, so fans can find it on Amazon and iTunes. - Owego Pennysaver
