Spawned in Denver, Colorado, Defected is a metal band that is difficult to pigeonhole. Combining the lumbering breakdowns of deathcore, early-2000’s thrash sensibility and the raw emotion of 90’s grunge; Defected is developing a sound that is all their own. With influences ranging from Whitechapel and Chimaira to Alice In Chains and Cane Hill, there is something on every track that any fan of rock and metal can latch onto.
Defected is compromised of Mikki Willhoff on drums, Bucky Ward on guitar, Dillon McCurry on bass and Patrick Rikki Chauvin on vocals. Akin to their influences, each member has a history in the local Denver scene spanning a wide variety of metal subgenres.
Also known for their energetic live performances, Defected has shared the stage with the likes of Dropout Kings, VRSTY, Guerilla Warfare,Controlled Demise, Letter 9 and Killing Creation. Currently, they are eying opening slots on Tommy Vext’s (former Bad Wolves, Divine Heresy vocalist) Lone Wolf tour at Herman’s Hideaway as well as an appearance on Drop Out’s album release show at Trailside Saloon.
With almost a year of gigging under their belts and single (“Migraine”) which has received radio play, Defected is ready for the next step.
