Singer/violinist/songwriter Danny Severance, sometimes billed as Danny Severance & the Pink Slips, has been performing around NYC since 2012 and around LA since 2014. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Danny is looking to build a touring presence across the US by building on the audience created in multiple cities.
The goal is to create a mind-numbingly versatile MF Doom of new soul music. Raw sweet soul and great songwriting are priority for Danny Severance. Bringing a soulful experience is what makes it all worth it. Danny writes a range of songs. His starting point lies in blues rock that overlaps with The Black Keys and true soul that echoes legends such as Sam Cooke and James Brown. Beyond that, the artist makes electronic music that takes that attention to soul and melds it with dance, house, and other genres. He has also worked with Hip Hop artists such as Chicago MC Blaise B.
