Q: Tell me about yourself!
A: we get really really excited about pizza. that's about all there is to know.
Q: Where did your name come from?
A: just kinda made it up. picked something we thought sounded cool.
Q: How long have you been playing music (together and separately)?
A: well we're brothers so basically our whole life. but pursuing it full time for probably 8 years.
Q: Any preferences on a label to be signed with?
A: eh, we're not looking for a label right now. we do everything ourselves. but if the right one came calling, we'd see if it was right for us.
If you guys have not checked these two out yet, you are missing out!! For real. Their single is so much fun that I could seriously listen to it all day. ALL DAY! For real though, they have a single out on iTunes now (also on Spotify, YouTube, and their website!) so go give it a listen and support these guys! Eight years is a long time to be pursuing music, but the time and effort shows clearly. These brothers deserve to make it even bigger than they already have. They've played Warped Tour and opened for some big names so you KNOW they have something awesome to share. Just give them a shot to make you dance in your chair! (It will happen. Trust me.) Keep an eye out for any potential EP or tour dates! I'm certain you wouldn't want to miss out on a concert with these guys. Who knows. Danger Scene was born with a common goal. Make music, impact lives for good, and follow your dreams. “Music is what we love. It was never a question of whether or not to play music. This is the way God has given us to love on others and be the example we want others to see…so we started this project and with God’s help, we are going to take it to the top,” Matthew quotes without hesitation.
These brothers are not new faces to the music world though.Originally from Wichita, Kansas, their last project “The Lost Colors” received recognition by winning a nationwide battle of the bands that landed them slots on 15+ festivals from San Diego to Atlanta. Not to mention opening for bands such as Hey Monday, Relient K, Breathe Carolina, Emery, RED, and Hawthorne Heights. They have also played multiple warped tour dates, all of this done while being independent of a label.
But what really make these two special are their music and the shows they put on. Matthew has a showmanship while playing the drums that many drummers strive to have. Michael compliments his brothers’ passion by giving it his all while he sings and plays keys, occasionally throwing in some dance moves and head banging. If you had to describe a Danger Scene show the words “crazy, fun, creative, and emotional” would come to mind.
They have found that the strongest bond is family and that is what Danger Scene is. Family. Brothers. Danger Scene will be on the rise and you won’t want to miss them when they come to your city.
