Discography

I released a mix tape titled "The Boy Who Cried Rebel" a few months back. (http://www.mediafire.com/?iyv6s7fe944laeb) Since it isn't over original music, I don't consider it an official project. However, I recently finished an LP called "The R.O.O.M. (Revelations Of the Open Mind)" It just came back from getting mastered. Really excited about that. So much so that I attached a couple songs from the LP in the songs section. I also have one posted on occupyrecords.org's main page. All of the music that I have released can be streamed on my Soundcloud page (http://soundcloud.com/cueueayun)

Bio

Aquan "Cueue Ayun" Whitaker is an artist, songwriter, producer, and engineer. He was born in Newark, New Jersey on September 26, 1991. His family moved to Greenville, North Carolina, where he was raised, soon after.

Cueue's music career began at birth. As an infant, he would watch the MTV Music Box all day long. He knew every song that came on the radio and soon began to idolize R. Kelly. For a while, his family thought he would grow up to sing R&B.It was not until moving to North Carolina at six that Cueue began to show interest in Hip Hop music. When he was eight years old, he decided to give rapping a try.Cueue started off writing raps down and performing them for friends and family.  Less than a year after he started rapping, his grandmother let him have her small radio, which he would use to record songs on cassette tapes for the next few years. At 13, Cueue began to experiment with producing. His father downloaded a beat making program called FL Studio (also referred to as Fruity Loops) for him to practice with. Years later, he was introduced to Logic Pro and Reason. He also dabbled in GarageBand for a few songs. On June 28, 2011, Cueue released a mixtape called "The Boy Who Cried Rebel." He expressed his worries for the world over a mixture of hip hop instrumentals and chopped up alternative rock songs. The follow up to "The Boy Who Cried Rebel" built more on Cueue's view of what the world was and how he felt about it. "The R.O.O.M. (Revelations of the Open Mind)" was released on March 8, 2012. The album contained all original production and showcased the true talent of Cueue and his musical peers. The response to "The R.O.O.M." inspired Cueue to work on another album to release in the same year. He released "Trying To Be Different" on November 13, 2012. The album was recorded and released in this time span (March to November) to show his new found fans that he was not just a one dimensional artist.Soon after releasing "Trying To Be Different," Cueue linked up with Luke "Excel" Reynolds from Minneapolis, Minnesota about getting on board with Excel's record label, ProsaiC Minds Entertainment. The two are currently building the label from the ground up and getting ready for their time to shine. As for Cueue's music, he is currently working on his next album, "We Create Our World," which will be released under ProsaiC Minds Ent. He has released a pre-single for the album called "Levitate." More new music and events are sure to come.
