West Michigan based trio band Crooked Spires are a Psych Soul Rock band that blends Roots, Garage and Americana influence into an intriguing beast that boasts original songwriting ranging from sweet and soulful to driving and dirty with moments of ethereal respite in between.
Formed by Guitarist and Songwriter Christian Nikkel and Drummer Thom Vandervelden of Holland Michigan in early 2017, the band solidified its structure as a trio with addition of Bassist Alec Johnston, another hometown native
Since then Crooked Spires has played numerous shows in the midwest with many well known local staples such as Desmond Jones, The Fever Haze, The Zannies, and LVRS at venues such as The Park Theatre, Tip Top Deluxe and the Elbo Room in Chicago and are currently self-recording their freshman album
