“Of all the 15 National Anthem Singers booked for the 2007-2008 Georgia Tech Men’s Basketball home games, Courtney Dickinson was the youngest singer. The line up of Singers included many Professionals and Rising Stars; Courtney was able to deliver an Anthem on par with Singers more than twice her age. This young Lady has a bright future and I am glad to say we got to know her at the beginning of her journey”

It’s time to check in down at the Fame Games talent Bank. I’ve found Courtney Dickinson. Just love your song Falter. You are a little Taylor Swift - but how bad’s that? More songs please Courtney. - Fame Games

MARIETTA - "Wasn't she great?"
That's country music star Billy Ray Cyrus lauding Acworth's Courtney Dickinson, 12, after the two sang the duet, "Ready, Set, Don't Go," at Kicks 101.5's Lunchtime Live at Trilogy on Friday.
"I was so impressed," Cyrus said. "When I first saw her, I thought she was in college. She was so professional."
"I think we delivered a pretty good performance," he said.
Courtney, a seventh-grade student at Excel Christian Academy, was the winner of Kicks' radio contest to stand in for Cyrus' daughter, Disney star Miley Cyrus, in the performance.
After Courtney sang her first line, the crowd erupted into applause.
"Wow," Courtney said after her performance. "It was amazing. He was really nice."

“Taking Chances”, recently released by Graffiti Peace Records.
Courtney Dickinson – Taking Chances
by Janet Goodman
Country pop has a new fresh-faced female artist: the freckled redhead, 14 year old Lindsay Lohan look-alike, Courtney Dickinson. Hailing from Atlanta, this singer/songwriter has a lot going for her on the five-song EP “Taking Chances”, recently released by Graffiti Peace Records.
Dickinson has a hand in writing three of the tracks, mostly uptempo contemporary tunes with positive-leaning lyrics. With wisdom beyond her teenage years, she writes, along with Nashville’s Lisa Torres, in the radio-right “Falter”: “I might falter, I might break under the pressure/I might stumble, crumble like a stone/Learn my lessons taking chances/Going the distance, I’ll find my way as I go”.
She gives a firey delivery on the girl-attitude song, “Quarter to Never”, and a competent interpretation of the lickety-split, cleverly crafted “Daddy Drives a Ford”; but it is in the midtempo “Wasting All My Time” where Dickinson shines with her most natural, unpushed and tender performance. This is the kind of young and honest song that Taylor Swift would record. Its tick-tock melodic hook is reminiscent of The Bangles’ 1988 hit, “Eternal Flame”, and coupled with the sweet lyric about wasting time with her beau is actually time well-spent, makes for easy going, feel-good music.
Produced in Nashville by Steffon Hamulak, Courtney Dickinson’s “Taking Chances” is sure to turn heads on Music Row.

Bio
Ground breaker, breath taker, earth shaker, c'mon baby, c'mon is how seventeen-year-old Georgia native Courtney Dickinson starts her latest single, Unstoppable. The lyrics do not just apply to the song, they also apply to Courtneys budding Country Music Career. She co-wrote her latest single and recorded it in just days as a finalist of Dodges Inspired by You contest. But that is not the first major company to feature this red headed beautys music. At fourteen, Courtney took part in The Gaps Born to Play event which featured live music in their stores across the country, with the songs continuing to play after the event as the stores soundtrack. Even before Dodge and The Gap, Courtneys song Falter was featured by Vietti Vinyl and her photo was featured on cans of chili!
Like thunder and lightning, better look out 'cause it's striking and before you know it, Courtney Dickinson will become a household name. Courtney is a senior in high school who enjoys spending as much time with her friends as possible. However, unlike her friends, Courtney has spent her high school years as a home schooled student so that she can focus her spare time on her music career. Performing her own music is not the only thing Courtney loves. She is an active partner in the Musicians on Call Program, participates in both domestic and international missions trips and mentors local middle school students in her hometown of Acworth, Georgia on both singing and playing guitar.
Heart racing, dream chasing, it's worth the chance we're taking. Chances are what Courtney has been taking since a child. It all started as a toddler, when Courtney began acting and modeling, and then became the youngest member of the Little General Cloggers on the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. By the time she entered grade school, Courtney had the honor of performing at President Jimmy Carters Birthday Celebration. Over the next few years, Courtney honed in on her talents by studying with the top acting and vocal coaches in Los Angeles and creating an impressive list of appearances for a small town girl from Georgia.
Hit the road and leave it all behind us, where we're headed doesn't matter now. Courtney, accompanied by her parents, frequently makes the four-hour trip from Acworth to Nashville. Nashville is where Courtney has befriended countless songwriters who have helped her create an impressive song catalog. She released her debut EP, Taking Chances in 2009, where she co-wrote three of the tracks. Nashville is also where Courtney spent the last four summers performing at both Tootsies Orchid Lounge and the Hard Rock Caf during CMA Fest.
We're unstoppable, whoa unstoppable Unstoppable is just what Courtney is. From her original songs like Quarter to Never and Its Gotta be Rough to her unique country-fied cover of Born This Way, no one can deny that Courtney is on to something special. Or whether it was her Ready, Set, Dont Go, duet with Billy Ray Cyrus at age 12, opening for Cowboy Troy at the Big & Rich fan party, or even performing the national anthem for the Atlanta Braves, Courtney always finds a way to bring her southern roots to the stage, and wont let anyone forget that shell always be an Unstoppable country girl.
Courtney Dickinson is a member of CMA, BMI and SAG.
