Cord Johnson began his music career in Knoxville TN in 2014. since then he has played lead guitar in bands such as The Valley Opera and Travis Bigwood and the Lonesome Doves. through these opportunities, he has played all over the country and has been a prominent member of the Knoxville music scene. he has played venues such as the Tennessee Theater, Bijou Theater, and Barley's, as well as festivals such as Rhythm and Blooms. Cord's main passion is being a solo singer songwriter. His songwriting carries influences from Jazz, Rock, and Folk music. he incorporates acoustic finger-style Jazz guitar playing with his smooth, conversational vocal style to create music that distills complex emotions into beautiful sounds. His music shares similarities to Paul Simon, James Taylor, and Phoebe Bridgers.
