"J-14 First Look: Adam Tyler"

J-14 loves introducing you to hot new artists! Meet the musician we have our eyes on now: Adam Tyler!

Here are five things you need to know about Adam Tyler:
1. If you love the tunes of another Adam -- Lambert, that is! -- and can't help but dance whenever you hear Lady Gaga, you'll love Adam Tyler's music. Listen to his single "Friction" on his MySpace page. We guarantee you'll be hooked!

2. If Adam seems like a familiar face it's because he was first in the boy band Maddhouse. "It all happened super quick," he spilled. "I was online and there was a casting call. I flew out to L.A. from Missouri for an audition where I had to dance and I sang 'Apologize,' which I thought was too high for my voice! I didn't know what I was doing with the dancing -- I dance all the time in my room but I didn't know if I should do all of those moves. But he must have liked what he saw!"

3. Glee is one of his favorite shows. "I live for it!" he admitted to J-14. The Glee character he most relates to? Finn!

4. Adam's single. And off the market for now -- "I'm just focused on my music now. I don't want anything to distract me -- getting signed is my main goal! Once I get all my work done, then I'll be ready to dabble in some relationships. Music. That's all that's in my head right now."

5. Of course J-14 was his favorite magazine growing up! "I used to buy them all the time," he spilled to us when he stopped by the office. - J-14

"M spends time talking with Adam Tyler!"

A couple months ago, M had the opportunity to sit down with 21-year-old rising star, Adam Tyler! We were not only super-impressed with his music, but we loved his down-to-earth and electric personality.Adam has been extremely busy after moving to LA to pursue music; he spends most of his time at dance rehearsals, writing songs, recording demos and new songs, and at photo shoots. Even with his hectic schedule, he was more than happy to talk with us again and share what makes his music so special, "A lot of my songs are upbeat, fun, and just really cool... perfect for dancing or clubbing! I also have some slower songs, so if you like to just chill and relax, then you have options! It's pop from a guy's point of view!"

Adam is living out his dream -- and he hopes that M girls follow their dreams as well, "Stick with it! Don't let anyone bring you down, because no one has the right to keep you from your dream. Surround yourself with people who love and believe in you, and just keep working to make those dreams happen!" He told M.

We love Adam! Watch out for him -- he's going to rock the music world!

Let's dish:
- What do you think of Adam Tyler, and what dream do you want to follow?

"Q&A with pop singer Adam Tyler on his debut album ‘Shattered Ice’"

Missouri-raised, Berklee College of Music-trained and Los Angeles-based singer Adam Tyler is gunning to be pop’s next big thing with the release of his forthcoming debut album Shattered Ice on July 12. Inspired by the music of TLC, Madonna and Mariah Carey, the young vocalist waxed his debut single “Friction” last September, showcasing his aggressive electro flair with the accessibility of an easy pop tune.

In prepping the album Tyler has worked with a host of pop ringers, including producer DeeKay (Sugababes), choreographer Stixx (Eminem), Chris Yates (The X Factor), and director Dan Shipton (Dancing on Ice). The artist is currently planning to hit the road, with nationwide performances brewing for Los Angeles, New York, and London later this year. I caught up with Tyler in this exclusive interview. - Justin Teddi - Examiner.com

"Meet New Pop Singer Adam Tyler"

Meet Adam Tyler, an emerging new electro-pop singer from Los Angeles who is preparing the release of his debut album "Lullabies For Rattlesnakes." The record was produced by up and coming Swedish pop producer Elias Kapari who recently worked with Luigi Masi and Ashley Tishdale.

Inspired by the music of TLC, Madonna and Mariah Carey, the Columbia, MO native set his sights on pursuing a career in music and moved to Boston to attend the famed Berklee School of Music after high school to finetune his songwriting craft. After graduating, Tyler settled in Los Angeles to start working on his recording career. He joined boyband upstart MaddHouse for a while, but decided that solo was the way to go for him.

The singer likes to describe his music as "put your hands up in the air" electro pop and that is a good way to put it. His music demonstrates Tyler's knack for good pop with his slick vocal delivery and instantly catchy melodies that are infused with just the right dose of sex appeal. He's a total package.

Listen to a clip of his new track "Friction" in the player below and listen to more of his music on his website and YouTube. - Arjan Writes

"Listen to Adam Tyler even once, and you'll never be the same, neither will music"

From an early age, the Missouri Native didn't so much enjoy music as absorb the mix tape in his head playing a continuous loop of artists as varied as The Fugees and the Spice Girls. He tried to go the academic route, and attended Boston's prestigious Berklee College on a talent scholarship. But soon decided that classwork wasn't visceral enough an experience.

After leaving school, the singer, now 21, was recruited by the creator of the boy band Youngstown for his new act and relocated to Los Angeles, once again, though, he found that he needed greater intensity that even the group dynamic could provide, and struck.

Now, having worked with a who's who of industry A-listers, including producers Deekay (Sugababes) and choreographer Stixx (Eminem). Adam has discovered his sound- electropop that's as cold-hearted as it is hot-blooded- and enlisted producer-songwriter Ellias Kapari (Ashley Tisdale) to juice his debut album 'Lullabies for Rattlesnakes'.

The CD includes four songs that Adam co-wrote, as well as contributions from Charlie Mason (V Factory), Daniel Volpe and Thomas Lipp (Monrose), and gust vocals by UK club Darlings Electrovamp, 'German Idol' superstar Fady Maalouf, American Hip-Hop chart topper Christelle and Sweden's 'Ace of Bass' The Provider.

Naturally, Adam isn't satisfied just to have created a collection of songs that will redefine electropop for the US ad beyond. While label-shopping, he's kept busy co-writing with such 'names' as Erik Lidbom (if not the bestselling songwriter in Asia in 2008, certainly one of them) and Mans Ek (Sarah Connor). He's also recorded a duet with Australian dancing queen Katrina Risteka (So You Think You Can Dance).

In his free time Adam keeps up with his admirers via his nearly two dozen worldwide MySpace street teams. Yes, that's a lot of fans for an up-and-comer who has yet to arrive. But then, it's no coincidence that another of his songs is titled 'Over the Top'.

Adam's music is smooth; the vocals combine with the music to create a track that produces a pop rock sound that will make you want to move. Listen to Adam Tyler's 'Lullabies for Rattlesnakes' even once, and you'll never be the same, neither will music.

"ADAM TYLER : I Won't Let You Go"

California-based singer songwriter Adam Tyler is getting stronger with each single - and although his latest single 'I Won't Let You Go' was actually released at the start of the year, the video for the track has only now made its way online.
And given the young singer is still wholly independent, it's certainly no bad thing.
Things kick off with a totally natural look, proceed through some eye treatments, some facial art and a couple of different set-ups, before getting hotter in the latter stages with fire and some body paint.
Track's not bad either - and his voice is entirely commercial, making the prospect of future success a shimmering possibility. - auspOp

"Album Review "Shattered Ice" by Adam Tyler"

One of the most surprising pop albums this year for me is without question "Shattered Ice" by Adam Tyler. I've always been a fan of the infectious pop that Adam Tyler has produced over the last few years ever since his massively underrated debut single "Friction" burst onto the web. When taster single "I Won't Let You Go" made it's debut a few months ago, I knew right then and there that Adam Tyler is a pop force that is determined to be noticed, despite the many negative pitfalls that exist in the current pop climate for "male" pop artists.

When I received "Shattered Ice" for review, I knew I was in for something no less than a treat. Upon first listen, the first three tracks alone prove that Adam Tyler has what it takes to ignite hits in the mainstream commercial pop environment. "Like A Drug" is a saucy, sexual stomper with provocative lyricism that you can't help but notice. "Like the air I breathe, I need you up inside of me - up inside of me". The middle eight alone sounds like it was a page torn right out of Madonna's infamous "Sex" book. "Pull The Trigger" is an addictive dance-floor filler with head-bopping rolling synths that are slightly naughty and massively explosive upon first listen. "Music Freak" is a slice of supersonic pop heaven where Adam's self-confessed "pop geekdom" gets it's own theme song. For any of you music freaks who live for electronic beats as a life-sustaining force, "Music Freak" will be an all-too-familiar story for you when you hear it.

The album's centerpiece "I Won't Let You Go" still remains one of the finest pieces of pop artistry to be released this year and the fact that it's not an American top ten single still boogle's me, but I haven't given up hope just yet. Title song "Shattered Ice" is an amazing groover but the album's highlight for me has to be the incredibly funky "Forgive Me" where Adam confesses to his bad habits as a lover and a friend. I love this song so much because sonically, the song's construction and sound is quite different for Adam and proves his versatility as an emerging pop artist.

One of Adam's favorite songs on the album (and for good reason) is the elegant and touching mid-tempo number "Taking Back My Love" which I quite like too - it's flourishing chorus and uplifting harmony instantly resonate. For all you dubstep fiends, you will love "Emergency". It's a masterclass on how to combine dance pop with dubstep in a way that doesn't overshoot the mark - Britney Spears would be proud and might even tip her hat to Adam if she heard the song.

And for all you critics out there that need to have proof that pop stars actually have vocal talent, the final three tracks are re-invented album tracks which put a new spin on the original proving that Adam Tyler can actually sing. "Forgive Me" and "I Won't Let You Go" get an acoustic makeover while "Emergency" gets a haunting orchestral facelift giving the song a whole new dimension.

All-in-all, "Shattered Ice" by Adam Tyler is an independent pop triumph. In a day and age where the only pop music that gets noticed are songs that are over-hyped and over-produced by over-paid producers, it's nice to know that the spirit of independant pop is still alive and well in albums like "Shattered Ice". For this reason alone is precisely why we are supporting Adam Tyler as the first choice for our inagural EQ Music Tour which kicks off across America beginning August 23rd. If you are a music freak like most of us that read this blog, then make sure you download "Shattered Ice" when it's available for download on Tuesday.

As Adam Tyler professes, once you take his hand and hold - he won't let you go, nor let you down as a pop artist that delivers and entices you into his world of musical wonders.

"SINGLE REVIEW: I WON’T LET YOU GO BY ADAM TYLER"

That would be a question that most would be asking whenever they see such name. So who exactly is Adam Tyler?

Adam Tyler is an up-and-coming musician based in Los Angeles. His music is said to be inspired by the likes of TLC and Madonna. He has already released a single, released in September of 2010, which is entitled ‘Friction’ – a synth-heavy yet still a charming pop record.

Adam recently released his latest single entitled I Won’t Let You Go and for people who have not heard his offerings yet, this is a good place to start. Adam’s latest single again relies on Adam’s slick vocals and the magic provided by the synths. The result is a track that could lead Adam to greater heights.

I Won’t Let You Go starts with a pretty simple piano melody and suddenly notches up to a higher gear once the synthesizers make their presence felt in the chorus. The track then unwraps its catchiness through all the melodies contained in it and presents them like birthday presents to the listener. I Won’t Let You Go is a great example when the matter of changing pace is concerned. The track started slow yet built its pace up through the infusion of the synthesizers and in the end, it worked.

All in all, I Won’t Let You Go is a luscious offering from Adam Tyler. It is another smashing electro-pop treat from him that does not fail in showcasing his capabilities. The track may have started a bit slow but eventually, it ended up as the track that could finally put Adam Tyler on the spotlight.

So who is Adam Tyler?

Adam Tyler has the capability to make captivating music largely thanks to his slick vocals as well as the melodies embedded in his songs. Possessing some sex appeal also helps as well. - The Reflective Inklings

"Adam Tyler - I Won't Let You Go - Review"

Aside from being quite possibly the sweetest and cutest, most lovely, and generous popstars on the planet, Adam Tyler is also exceptionally talented, to a chart-topping, world-class standard I'm talking, and his music, and voice, and style just hit a bit of a nerve with me, and I need to hear every thing he has ever recorded, a reaction only a few popstars create in me. I feel most certainly honoured to work with him, and I really can't wait for you to hear some of these tracks I've been given the pleasure of previewing, and I will actually explode when I get to hear more. Definitely give these a listen - They will be most certainly worth your time, coming from one of my absolute favourite "up-and-comers" - and trust me, I've worked with a few! Pick up the single on iTunes here, and in the mean time, give these samples (From Adam's Soundcloud page - Chock full of free downloads!) a listen.

I Won't Let You Go:

I Won't Let You Go by adamtylermusic

My absolute favourite of the bunch, this track is impossible to describe, and is more beautiful and fantastic than words can attempt to cover. A BEAUTIFUL, tender, piano intro, showcasing Adam's AMAZING voice (I only have a few Male vocallists that I adore - Adam is about one of 5 or 6). The track then quickly gains some awesome moodiness, before the electronic elements come in for a hauntingly beautiful chorus which then opens into a distorted, absolutely fabulous, dance/pop stomper that's melancholic and beautiful, uptempo and downbeat all at the same time. Impossible to describe, but absolutely perfect. Yet again, Adam creates pure perfection. Amazing bridge too.

The Last Time We Say Goodbye:

The Last Time We Say Goodbye by adamtylermusic

Then comes the more tender, absolutely beautiful ballad that is The Last Time We Say Goodbye. Delicate, with Adam's vocal restrained, yet still sounding as majestic and magical as always. It takes a little while to worm it's way into your brain, but it's a beautiful number, with a gorgeous chorus that I adore, beyond belief. Fabulous stuff. I adore this one oh so much. A fantastic number :) - Love love love love love love.

Playing Hardball (With Electrovamp):

Now, I don't have a Soundcloud for you here but this one is FANTASTIC! A duet between Adam and Electrovamp (The FABULOUS girlband) - This track is FIERCE! Definitely took me a while to get my head totally around, but the production here is absolutely flawless. Awesome beats, and some awesome distorted synths, I love it. Oh so much! And the lyric smack-down, about the same level as Madonna & Britney Spears' seminal "Me Against The Music". Awesome stuff, I most definitely adore this. Oh so much. Vocally, it's a fun number with Adam's luscious tones contrasting well with the fun, feminine vocals of Electrovamp. I adore it! - Fabtastic!! MU

"MUUMUSE EXCLUUSIVE: LISTEN TO ADAM TYLER’S SECOND SINGLE, “I WON’T LET YOU GO”"

It’s time to Introduuce one of those names that’s been floating around some of my favorite pop blogs over the past few months (years, even!) While I’d heard bits and pieces along the way, I never really took the time to truly check in…until now, of course.

Adam Tyler is an up-and-coming singer/songwriter from a land called Los Angeles (no, I’ve never heard of it either). As an independent artist, Tyler is very much a part of the recent upsurge in DIY pop stars in the making (Simon Curtis comes to mind) who’ve managed to grab hold of a microphone and a few good synthesizers with the intent on paving their own way.

Back in September of 2010, Tyler released his first official single, “Friction”–a synth-tastic, electro-pop ear-worm. Now, he’s back with his next single: “I Won’t Let You Go.” And I have to say: It’s his best work yet.

Starting off with a simple piano melody, the singer sadly croons: “Every song I heard today / In my head, I could swear I was hearing your voice.” But by the one minute mark, the song begins to break: “Oh, oh / I won’t let you go, no!” Tyler announces as synthesizers slowly begin to build around his layered vocals. With each return to the chorus the song dives deeper and deeper into swells of electronica, resulting in a pulsating synth-pop treat by the end.

“I Won’t Let You Go” was crafted by L.A.-based producer Sky Felix and co-penned by Bri Gonzales,
“The song didn’t really take that long to write either,” Tyler explained to me of the new single. “Sky started playing the piano loop, and I instantly came up with the melody for the song…and within 10 minutes, the song was already halfway done!” - MuuMusic

"ADAM TYLER - I WON'T LET YOU GO"

“I Won’t Let You Go” by Adam Tyler

Adam’s been offering a lot of free music online lately – check out his affecting cover of Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn” especially. Returning to a more emotional dance sound started by last year’s excellent “Friction” is “I Won’t Let You Go”, now available on iTunes in most territories. So it starts off like it might be a ballad, but before you know it those Swedish “Better Off Alone” keyboards kick in, the energy level is cranked up, and you have a fantastic example of a mass-appeal worldwide hit. Adam’s currently in England where he’s performing in an Electroqueer showcase tonight. - billcsistunedon

"ADAM TYLER - I WON'T LET YOU GO"

First off, I’m a sucker for anything with a heavy piano drive. Add ADAM TYLER’s smooth voice and you get this groovy new up-tempo ballad I Won’t Let You Go. It has a sound reminiscent of Shontelle’s Perfect Nightmare, especially when the chorus picks up the pace. And that’s a good thing. Oh, it’s also available now on iTunes now! Get it get it. - Wonky Pop
