"First Timers Part of Festival Line Up"

For 30 years, Connie G. has been sharing her foot-stompin', hip-shakin ', make-Tina-Turner-jealous R&B show from local Mardi Gras parties to worldwide stages with Robert Palmer, Robin Thicke, the Gap Band and Percy Sledge.
But this global performer admits she's nervous. Connie is finally accomplishing a major goal — a performance at Festival International de Louisiane.
Connie is celebrating her spot in the lineup, which Festival International officials released Wednesday. This 29th annual free event, which attracts more than 400,000 to downtown Lafayette, is set for April 22-26. - The Advertiser/USA Today

Bio

Connie Garrett has been rockin stages worldwide for over 30 years. This veteran performer has headlined and also backed some of the greatest musicians; Robin Thicke, Robert Palmer, the Gap Band, Irma Thomas, Percy Sledge, and Jeffrey Osbourne to name a few. She has graced stages large and small from The Monterrey Jazz Festival, and Festival International, to small jazz clubs in New Orleans and beyond. She is a favorite at Mardi Gras Balls during some of the most elaborate celebrations of the season. She has also performed as "Tina Turner" at a few of these events. Her talent is limitless.

Her audience expands to all ages and genres much like her musical abilities. From her originals in Blues and Zydeco, to cover songs in R&B, Pop, and Country.

She performs as a solo artist or with her band Creole Soul.

Connie G and Creole Soul put on a show that only Louisiana natives can muster, home of Jazz and Blues, the music runs deep in Connie and all of her band mates who are all family and mostly blood related. They all had the joy of sharing the stage with their father during Festival International 2015 in Lafayette LA. A tribute to the culture and family that is Creole; and Creole Soul. Members of Creole Soul include Toni Delsandro on drums, Paul Boudreaux on bass, Danny Alexander on guitar, Nick Knee-case on keys, Joe Crackiola on sax, and vocalists/dancers include Johnetta Earnest and Nedra Alexander.
