Bio
Concrete Journal are a punk band from the middle of nowhere in Alabama who are desperately trying to get picked up by a spaceship. While they're stuck here on this rock, Andrew Ellis, Derek Okins and John David Pace have made it their mission to at least get humans to loosen up a little. There's nothing more painful than to go to a show and find no one in the crowd willing to reciprocate the energy being put out by the artist, so that whatever emotions are attempting to be conveyed fall flat on dead ears and distracted eyes. In an attempt to alleviate this malignant malaise that has plagued venue spaces across the nation, Concrete Journal have locked themselves in a room for the past year, concocting ever more contagious percussive pummeling to serve as a power source to thunderous, quaking bass lines dancing under shredding guitars that dance on the precipice of chaos' infinite abyss. All the while they're screaming their guts out for someone to dare to care about the state of our one soul, our one blues, our one, eternal rock and roll.
