In his new single “Leave My Head,” producer/vocalist @cody_q_ pleads with the object of his affection to do just that, but the truth is, this pop-rock earworm can live rent-free in ours for as long as it pleases. - Quadio
This week I am covering Cody Q’s new song I Will Always Be There. I have known Cody for about 3 years and I have to say that this has to be the best song he has made so far. Bio
I am a producer, songwriter, singer, and multi instrumentalist who has been making his own music since 2015. But even before I recorded anything, I was put in piano lessons by my mom around age 14. I decided to switch to guitar about a year later. My mom also encouraged me to go into choir when I went into 7th grade. Eventually singing my way to being a part of the Tullahoma High School exclusive show choir 'Aristocats' from 2015-2017. During that time, I co-wrote and produced two albums 'Just Make Friends' and 'Thinking on All Frequencies' with William Kuebitz as a duo called Kinetic Potential. Realizing my passion for music during this time, I decided to go to Middle Tennessee State University in 2017 for Audio Production. I released my own EP called Beautiful Trip from my dorm room as an artist for the first time under the name Cody Q (2018). After moving to a new house with my 3 best friends, I also released Can't Wait (2018). Eventually as I went further down my path, I co-founded my first band in late 2018 called Cabin Color with Evan Price. I co-wrote and produced both records Mercury Manor (2019) and Goodbye from This Side of the Universe (2020). We would play almost 75 live shows as a band before the Covid-19 Pandemic that hit in March, 2020. Being forced inside, with all of our gigs canceled, I slowly got back to being an artist. I wrote and produced a second EP called Genres (2020) from my bedroom including, most recently, my newest single I'd Be Lying (2021).
