Bio
Collin Miller is a 22-year-old singer/songwriter and guitarist wise beyond his years. He's a powerhouse vocalist with an undeniably soulful and honest approach. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, he found music to be a safe haven for him early on. A dedicated student of Soul, R&B, Funk, Blues, Psychedelia, and the giants of songwriting, he fuses all these elements to create a sound completely his own. He began singing and playing guitar around the age of 8, and is self taught. Collin was heavily influenced by the likes of Bill Withers, Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, D'angelo, James Taylor, Parliament-Funkadelic, and many others at a young age. He continued to pursue music religiously, sharing his work online and playing in various bands. His writing style pays homage to that of his heroes; taking great pride is his lyricism, while never forgetting that 'feel' is king. In 2015, Collin and the first incarnation of The Brother Nature formed. They recorded their debut album "Who's Got Your Soul?" while still in high school and released it in July of 2017. In the fall of 2017, Collin joined forces with a cast of prominent Cleveland musicians and recorded the standout single "Side By Side". Today, The Brother Nature consists of Patrick McCafferty on bass, Dan Fernandez on drums, Xavier Lynn on guitar, Kenny Bell on keys, Frank "Alowishus" Walton on trumpet, Jevaughn Bogard on saxophone, Jessica Yafanaro on vocals, and Billie Mitchell on vocals. Between 2018 and 2021, Collin Miller & The Brother Nature played local shows often; building a strong grass-roots following and becoming a significant staple of the Cleveland music scene. They've shared the stage and collaborated with other blossoming young bands and seasoned veterans alike; such as The Marcus King Band, Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles, Dumpstaphunk, Turkuaz, The Motet, Ghost Note, The Dip, Fat Night, and others. Collin has been moonlighting as lead singer and playing guitar with The Motet on some of their recent tour dates, and plans to work with them more in 2022. The band has also amassed a strong online following, with their single "Side By Side" currently sitting above 1.3 million streams on Spotify alone. They've released other singles following their debut album as well. The stand-alone "Everyday Lovers", and the two singles "Come On In" and “Night Light" from their upcoming sophomore record. Collin Miller & The Brother Nature's new album, titled "A Lesson In Love", is set to release on November 26th, 2021. They have plans to tour the US behind the album in 2022. This will be their first official tour.
