City People

City People was formed in 2015 out of North Hollywood, California. Alex Edwards (Lead Guitar) formed the project after disbanding his prior band Diffuse The Reign and took his original music along with him to City People. City People have been referred to as having an early 90’s rock sound, similar to the likes of Pearl Jam, as well as integrating more modern music such as Avenged Sevenfold.

When Alex met with the musical talents of Gabe Aronson (Vocals/Synth), Angel Trujillo (Drums), and Trevor Fraisse (Bass) he knew he had the right team. Gabe has been playing keys, guitar, drums, and much more since 2003. Alex has a degree in music composition and has been playing music for over 10 years. Trevor has been sponsored by Ibanez, has a degree in Music Theory from Musician’s Institute, and won Best Bassist from the Los Angeles Music Awards in 2012.

The band’s influences are Avenged Sevenfold, The Beatles, Chris Cornell, The Dead Weather, Foals, Foo Fighters, Silversun Pickups, Soundgarden, and Tool to name a few.
City People’s sound is not locked down by a single genre. Tones of Alternative, Rock, Metal, and Indie can be heard in each track. The principle of the band is that each member has a creative right to the music. The contribution from each musician’s taste makes the music unique and fun to listen to and watch.

The band is currently in the studio finishing the mixing and mastering of their first EP which is expected to drop in Summer 2016. Additionally they have been doing local tours in Los Angeles to drum up excitement for the EP.
