Runaway Queen is this week’s First Signs of Love featured track, because on first listen it stopped us in our tracks and got our pulse racing. Runaway Queen is taken from their five track EP Galaxy which is out now. We recommend you download your copy from iTunes.
Everyone has at some point has considered the idea of running away, and now you have the perfect soundtrack. Runaway Queen is a track that could have only been forged in the Southern states of the US, a bluesy rock and roll anthem, best served with a whiskey and a sunset.
Chief and the Hounds are Caleb Wilt (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Travis Tucker (lead guitar), Jacob Rodgers (bass guitar), and Colby Rushin (drums).

Bio
Chief and the Hounds have devised an original, unforgettable sound that reflects elements of modern indie/alternative rock and roll that displays the versatility and dynamics of the band. After Caleb Wilt moved back from Nashville, TN to join the band, the original drummer left and Colby Rushing was immediately recruited. In order to immediately begin building a fan base, Chief and the Hounds wrote and recorded their first EP, Galaxy, in Nashville.
Since Galaxy, Chief and the Hounds' has evolved their sound by harmonizing each band members' personal musical influence. Original member and lead guitarist, Travis Tucker, is heavily influenced by bands like Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters, and The Allman Brothers. Bassist Jacob Rodgers finds inspiration in bands like The Meters and early Red Hot Chili Peppers' albums. Caleb's unique songwriting perspective displays influences from Janis Joplin and James Taylor, while Colby's drumming is shaped by drummers like John Bonham of Led Zeppelin and Jose Pasillas of Incubus. Upon release of the band's full length album in early 2016, listeners will hear the sound that Chief and the Hounds has been working towards producing.
