EST PALM BEACH, Fla - Chemradery, a popular local rock band, is playing at SunFest this year on the main Ford stage on Thursday night. Last year the band competed in a contest to earn a slot but didn't make it. This year SunFest organizers invited them via e-mail to kick off the musical acts on Thursday night.
"We were excited they showed interest in this year. They've been really great to work with," said Melissa Sullivan, marketing manager for SunFest.
Chemradery has even gained airplay on West Palm Beach radio station 97.9 WRMF and performed at their "No Snow Ball" with Adam Lambert and Third Eye Blind. Last weekend they played at the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale and opened for the band Fuel.
The lead vocalist is Gregory Scot Dyer and his buddy is Ivan Alexander. They merged their musical passions together and had an instant chemistry and comradery and BAM= that's how Chemradery got its name. - WP TV

Bio

Chemradery. It's not a word in the English dictionary, but
it might very well make it there if this band has anything to say about it. Led
by vocalist Gregory Scot Dyer, and guitarist Ivan Alexander, Chemradery came
about when two innovative minds merged their passion for music together, to
create a sound that would not only inspire, but leave a lasting a impression;
on themselves and the listener.
All five members are seasoned musicians in their own right.
Gregory had spent his previous years singing Opera with the Palm Beach Opera
Company and fronting several bands. Through common contacts, he teamed up with
Ivan Alexander, who had performed with multiple touring acts, and worked as a
session guitarist for 5 years. Mark Jacobs, off the road from playing on a
national tour with several bands, joined in as the band’s bass player.
In the midst of performing around parts of Southern Florida
with their respective bands and projects, the band began songwriting sessions. Instantly,
the ‘Chemradery’ began to take shape. The chemistry and camaraderie was evident
every time they got together to create music.
Melodic verses and choruses, simplistic; yet memorable
lyrics about the positives and negatives of everyday life, and tasteful
instrumentation that tie it all together. That is Chemradery. The fellowship,
interaction, and common bond of everyday people, whose sole purpose is to tell
a story through their music; a story that you can't stop reading. That is
Chemradery.
