Bio
Captain Wails and The Harpoons is Rusty Wails on guitar and vocals, Skitch Patterson on drums and vocals, and Tofu on bass and vocals. Rusty Wails, the infamous Pirate Captain, lay preserved in the belly of a gigantic sperm whale for 500 years before finding himself reanimated by the radioactive sludge spilling into to the ocean from Fukashima, Japan. Disoriented and confused, Rusty was saved from the beast by his companions The Swallogs. The Swallogs are a group of 3 irradiated algae that were also brought to life by the radiation; they consumed the soul of the whale in which they lived and grow stronger feasting on Fukashima radiation and the monsters created by the radiation. Rusty and the Swallogs found Skitch Patterson stranded on a remote island off of the coast of Japan. Skitch had been shanghaied and held in an abandoned POW concentration camp until the explosion at Fukashima blasted him free. When Rusty and The Swallogs found Skitch, he was in the process of bringing an old Japanese bomber back into working order, hoping to escape the island. With the help of The Swallogs, it was not long before Skitch and Rusty were in the air and flying toward North America. Immediately after crashing of the the coast of Oregon, Rusty and Skitch found Tofu bloodied and dying on a beach after a run in with some really territorial seagulls. Together, these ragtags make up Captain Wails and and The Harpoons. Ordinary men, sort of, with not much talent to speak of, but when the swallogs attach themselves to each of these men, they become a dynamic rock trio; determined to bring peace and party to the world and to squash injustice and insanity wherever it shows itself. No dance party is too large, no monster is too ferocious, and no rhetoric is unconquerable.
