R&B artist, Candice Cooper, was born and raised in Little Rock, AR. She started singing at age four and started writing songs at age nine. When she started singing, she also started taking ATA taekwondo. While training in ATA taekwondo, she accomplished a lot, becoming a three time World Champion. One title was in Forms, Weapons, and Sparring within three different years (1998, 2000, 2001). While maintaining training and school, she was also writing songs.
Candice had a great passion for music. In elementary school, she was in orchestra playing the Cello while also learning how to play the piano. In middle school, Candice was on the dance team, had more piano lessons, took voice lessons, and was also in a dance program. In high school, she was always on the dance team choreographing different dances. In college, she was still on dance teams choreographing dances again, became president of the college dance team for one year, and also took a voice class. Candice graduated from Little Rock Central High School on June 1, 2007. She also attended college at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
Growing up, Candice was always shy when it came to singing. She grew out of it really wanting to pursue a career in singing. So she started doing shows around Little Rock, AR. Candice was recognized by Tate Music Group (TMG), was offered a deal, and signed with the record label on her birthday June 10. Since then, she managed to write all of her lyrics of her songs for her album called, “Take Control.” Her album release date is August 26, 2014.
