Bio
Brother's Bear's first roots were planted when James and Joshua first met and began playing music together during high school. Throughout college and with the addition of two band members, Emily and Nelson, Brother's Bear blossomed into the project it is today. Taking inspiration from generally all music, Brother's Bear seeks to combine the sounds of indie folk and Americana/roots rock in an honest and interesting way. The product of many backstories, political views, theologies, and lifestyles, Brother's Bear songs are about death, friendship, coming of age, love, and frustration — all of which come together in a way that really expresses our differences and likenesses with a clarity that we're just proud of.
