The Live For Live Music readership might best know his son, Adam, for his incredibly skillful drumming in bands like Lettuce and Break Science, but Bobby Deitch has been on the scene going on five decades. The elder Deitch, also a former student at the esteemed Berklee College of Music in Boston (along with wife Denise, a great drummer in her own right), has been behind the kit for various funk and R&B outfits over the years, most recently acting as drummer and musical director for a Ray Charles tribute, alongside musicians that have played with artists such as Prince, Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder and more over the years.............. - Live For Live Music

The Bobby Deitch Band (BDB) plays the uplifting original soul music of Bobby Deitch. Following an illustrious career as a songwriter, drummer, keyboardist, guitarist and educator the time is right to share Bobby's meaningful songs with the world. The Bobby Deitch Band released their new LP, "Grateful" at the Blue Note, NYC in April 2017.
Joining Bobby (lead vocals, keys & guitar) on the Grateful album were members of Lettuce, Adam Deitch and Nigel Hall (co producers), with Adam Smirnoff and Eric Krasno (Lettuce, Soulive). The album features in addition to the core band, George Porter jr (Funky Meters), Jon Cleary and Nikki Glaspie (Nth Power, Beyonce).
